BARRY POV

"What the frack?"

What Cisco said summed up how we all felt. First we find out that Harrison wells is evil. Then we find out he has a secret room. Then we find out that Harrison Wells is the Reverse Flash. Then we find out that he has a holographic newspaper article that makes no sense, in which I die? But I'm right here. I start to read out the article, "Flash missing. Vanishes in crisis... After an epic street battle with the Reverse Flash, our city's very own Scarlet Speedster disappeared in an explosion of light."

Caitlin points out the first detail we should have checked with this future technology, "Barry, look at the date."

I couldn't help but read it out loud as i thought out loud "April 25th, 2024... Guys, when I fought the Reverse Flash at Christmas, he said that we'd be fighting for centuries."

Cisco, ever the nerd, started to get excited. "Wait, you can't really think that this is from the future."

"That would means Dr. Wells, or whoever he is, is also from the future," Caitlin is still stating all of our thoughts in her assertive tone, usually reserved for when I injure myself. It's kind of cute, wait, where did that come from?

"I have to say, I'm really digging the brighter red suit. And the white on the symbol? That's dope. Wait a second. Suppose we now change the colour on your suit. Will it be because we got the idea from this picture? That would mean we're living in a causal nexus. This wow. This is so trippy. Like, Marty and the Polaroid trippy. But, not as trippy as the name on the byline." Cisco is still nerding out but my attention is lost as soon as he finished. The by-line. Iris West-Allen. The one thing I always wanted.

It doesn't feel like I just got the one thing I wanted though. I don't feel happy about it. I don't feel excited, interested in what the future has to come. What happens to Eddie? What happens in the future? Why am I even thinking these things? It's what I've always wanted. Right? It still doesn't feel right. I turn to my side and see Caitlin. She almost looks... angry? I turn back to the article and shake my head. Iris West-Allen. It feels... wrong? I made that crazy grab at her during the whole Golden Glider but my heart wasn't fully in it. Thankfully Caitlin was there to save the day as always. Lightning Psychosis. Seriously I'm lucky neither Iris nor Eddie are scientists. But Caitlin. Maybe she's why I'm doubting this. Is she still angry?

CAITLIN POV

Iris West-Allen? What? What about Eddie? Why am I so annoyed about this? why do i feel like i could kill Iris just to change the timeline? Why do i want to change the timeline? Hannibal Bates keeps drifting into my mind. And he disguised himself as Barry and - kissed me. Why would that enter my mind? Oh yeah - he was Barry and i didn't know and I - I kissed back. Why do I feel all of a sudden so possessive. This is all he's ever wanted. Except - summer lovin'. Yeah he could want this. but I can't just ask him. What if he says no? Screw it - he's not Iris'.

THIRD POV

Neither of them had much time for thought when Caitlin suddenly pulled Barry into an aggressive, passionate kiss. After Barry got over the shock he reciprocated - leading to a make-out session starting before Cisco, ever the third wheel, interrupted by means of clearing his throat, "not that I'm not glad you guys are finally doing this after months of secret glances but I still don't want to see that. Still.. WTF?!"

A glance back at the newspaper showed a major change. Reverse Flash defeated. Flash victorious. The date stays the same. The by-line. Iris West-Thawne. Barry looked happier. Caitlin looked ecstatic. Not that either of them had properly let go of each other. Still holding each other close in case the newspaper went against their hearts.

"Mr. Allen, Dr. Snow-Allen, how can I help you." Barry and Caitlin were heavily smirking now. Dr. Snow-Allen. That made them feel better. Even Cisco was smirking. Caitlin and Barry seemed to have nestled themselves even closer than before, if possible. Cisco, however dropped that for now. They just got talked to by A.I.! That's interesting. "Who the hell are you?"

"I am Gideon, an interactive artificial consciousness."

Barry was asking questions now. "Do you know Dr. Wells?"

    "Yes"

    "Why is he here?"

"To kill you. But the future just changed. You do't go down with him here. In the previous timeline you die defeating him. In this timeline, you defeat him."

Cisco suddenly calls out, "Barry, Dr. Wells is approaching the building."  After many weird stared he explained,  "after we figured out that he was evil I put a tracker on his wheelchair."

"Gideon can you not tell Dr. Wells that we were here."

     "Of course."

"Gideon," Caitlin paused for a moment, "Can you not tell Dr. Wells the future had changed and only show the article from this timeline when someone else is in the room."

    "Of course."

With that Barry ran all three of them out of three of them out of there and into the Cortex. From there the day progressed like nothing had happened, except from the fact Caitlin and Barry could barely keep their hands off each other. Dr. Wells had no idea.

TIME SKIP A FEW DAYS (Eddie captured by Thawne)

Thawne was standing there, looking smug. he was about to destroy Iris and Eddie's relationship, create a weakness for the Flash. This would be fun. "Observe, if you will, the bylin- wait, WHAT!"

    "Iris West-Thawne"

"No, no. This has to be wrong."

With that Edobard zoomed off to the Time vault. "Gideon show me the real future." Iris West-Thawne. he was astounded. What could have caused this? "Gideon, who is Barry Allen married to?"

    "Caitlin Snow-Allen"

    "When did this change?"

"When team Flash came in here three days ago."

Thawne didn't have time to hear the rest as a red blur followed by yellow lightning trailed into the room. One punch and Thawne was out. It was over. team Flash had won. Thawne was defeated. Everyone was happy. Barry and Caitlin especially so. they could do anything together. When Barry defeated the Reverse Flash nine years later one thought went through his head. It was Caitlin Snow-Allen, the one person who could make him do anything. Without Caitlin Snow-Allen, he would be dead.
