Zoom (Part 4)

BARRY POV

    "I have one request though. Don't ask any questions until I've finished." I take a minute to collect my thoughts and emotions. I look over at my Caitlin and she glanced back, reassuring me in only a way she can. I look at my friends and family and they are all nodding slowly. I know if I tell them this they will look at me differently but the truth needs to come out.

    "It started about three months after I had arrived. We had started a somewhat partnership and I had pretty much healed. Then I found out about Zoom. He had been reigning over Earth-2 for about a year and have half. He had an army of metahumans with him and that was how I found out. Turns out Deathstorm frequently came to Frost's to try and recruit her." I knew an interjection was coming so I paused and then heard one from my Caitlin, "and try and ask me out. Over and over again." With a particularly nasty glare at Ronnie she stopped and I could continue. "It was then I found out about Zoom but it turned out that I had one ally. Killer Frost. We then found out from the ensuing discussion that Zoom knew that I was on Earth-2. He was looking for a breacher and that breacher could only have been me.

    We then found out that we needed to keep on the move. Reverb, Cisco's doppelganger, could sense locations and get visions of people. We spent three months like this until the time I was undercover in their Jitters when Deathstorm and Reverb entered the room looking for me. It turns out my doppelganger, Iris' doppelganger and Joe's doppelganger was there. Joe took a fireball for that Iris and died just before I turned up in my new suit. This was the end of the running and hiding. This was the beginning of the battle against Zoom. I just managed to beat the two enough so I could get out of there and into Killer Frost's warehouse. I knew I couldn't do this alone so she was the first and only person I knew could help. And was also the only person I could consider a friend. This was really the start of our partnership and it has only gotten closer since."

    I knew Cisco would want to know every aspect of the suit and it didn't take long before he started asking questions, "How did you make the suit? Was it your old one? Did you base it of the future article?" I gave a small chackle at his antics. I had missed this in the last five years. I took a deep breath and answered his questions. "My old suit was destroyed beyond repair during the travel to Earth-2. What I arrived in also isn't my actual suit. We made a new one that looked like the flash suit so you would know it's me and not a random doppelganger.  My actual suit looks like this." I flashed out of the room and arrived back with two suits and a mannequin from around S.T.A.R.. I put one suit on the first mannequin and pulled out the flash suit mannequin and put another suit on that before sitting back down again.

    One of the suits was Killer Frost's so they had seen that before. The other had what looked like the flash suit except it was the same dark blue as Killer Frost's suit. Which makes sense since she made both. I had changed the suits slightly as I didn't want to give things away a little too early. She only had the Killer Frost symbol on the end of her zip and I only had the flash symbol on the centre. We were like this during the battle against Zoom however so it's definitely relevant. I let the room take the two suits in for a moment. My Caitlin leaned in to me and whispered, "Why did you change the symbols?" to which I replied, "One thing at a time."

    Cisco was the first to start to ask questions. "If you only just became partners why are your suits the same colour, especially since you Barry wore red for the year before." I smiled of the memory of me and Cailtin bickering over every aspect of the suit, which she won every argument. Its always nice to remember something like that. A fun little moment from the past where there wasn't any real danger and we were just having fun. I returned to the question, "Frost made it. I remember us arguing over basically every detail but she won every single argument." I let out a small chuckle before I remembered what we were talking about. Zoom. But before if could cut back Frost intervened "But these suits here are like how we fought Zoom. They've been changed slightly since then."
