"Oh boy I got a feeling if you get to know me, you'll learn we aren't that different at all."
I stood in front of the class, my hands shaking by my sides. I showed up late of course because I couldn't find it and ended up interrupting the teacher.
It was last period and I was already exhausted from introducing myself, it was tiring.
"What is you're name?" She asks, raising an eyebrow at me.
I let out a small sigh and glanced around the room, my eyes narrowing when I see both Noah and Zeke sitting in the back.
Then my brother Bellamy was in the third row alongside Dakota and Shiloh. I grit my teeth while they sat there with grins growing on their faces.
"My names Jupiter Rory," I bite out, the teacher nodded and smiled.
"What a lovely name, do you know why you're parents named you that?" She questions, causing me to curl my fingers into a fist so they would stop shaking.
Sometimes my anxiety got the best of me.
I shrugged my shoulders, "Because they hated me?" I shot back, it coming out more as a question.
Snickers erupted around the room and I walk around, looking for an empty desk. It was in front of Zeke, and right behind my brother.
I groan out before dropping my bag to the floor, slumping down in my seat. God surly hated me, but like why?
I didn't do anything wrong.
Well - I mean -
I shook my head and brought my hands through my hair, "Hows the first day going, sis?" Bellamy questions, turning around in his seat.
I narrow my eyes at him, a stupid grin on his face as he watched me in amusement, "It's spectacular, I'm actually going to drop out after this class," I shot back sarcastically.
He laughs out and shook his head, and that's when I heard the two of them snickering behind me but all I did was ignore them.
Next class I'd be here early and be sitting in the front row away from them all because I wouldn't be able to do this the entire year if I actually don't end up dropping out.
"So first, we're going to talk about our summers," The teacher announces, clapping her hands together while grinning.
My eyebrows shot up and I started frowning, I poke Bellamy's shoulder, causing him to turn around in his seat, "What class is this?" I question, feeling my face burn in embarrassment.
He chuckles out and shook his head, "Family studies, seriously Jupie, you need to get it together." He says, laughing again.
I scowl at him and roll my eyes. I'd definitely be dropping this class by the end of the day.
And so one by one, each student shared their story about what they did this summer.
"Swimming with sharks, that was narly," Zeke says, causing me to snort out.
He chuckles and I hear Noah groan out, "Went on a trip with my cousin, and I also found Jesus there." He says.
I laugh out, sobering up quickly. I turn in my seat and shot him a doubtful look but all he did was raise an eyebrow at me.
