Chapter 2 First Day Back

The drive to school consisted of my mum listening to BBC radio 1 it was saying which roads to miss out due to traffic. I don't really understand why she listens to it though it's not like we drive near any main roads any way. My sister was reading one of her gossip magazines on the latest celebrity scandals. I decided to carry on with my daydream from earlier. I startled myself from my daydream as I remembered I had homework to finish oops. I slammed my handbag on my lap and started rummaging through it to find out what I had to do for my home work, it was maths. I hate maths I'm no good at it at all. I raced through my homework on algebra writing a load of bullsh*t  just as I finished my homework we reached my living hell which some people refer to it as school. It's not one of the best schools but it does it's job.

I quickly unbuckle my seat belt, give my mum a quick kiss goodbye and stumble/trip out of the car I am so clumsy. Luckily only my friends saw me stumble out of the car and they just burst out laughing at me, but they know what I'm like and they never let me live It down.

I ran over to my friends and jumped on my best friend Anna and gave her a hug although I saw her two days ago I still missed her we had a lot to catch up on and talk about.

"Hey rose" Anna said in her high pitched startled voice

"Sorry Anna I've missed you two days has been too long without seeing you, I hope you have some good gossip to talk to me about."

"Rose you know I always have good gossip for you, but for now let's head towards form before we spill any gossip."

Anna is like me the mother hen of the group we were the ones holding people's hair back when they were being sick and making sure that there all okay. Anna and I have been friends since I can remember we grew up together joint at the hip my family is like her second family and her family is like my second family. She has natural fiery red hair which looks like a bonfire in the sun, as is shines all different colours. It is beautiful. Anna isn't pale though she has a little tint of a tan to her skin it wasn't much but it was enough to make her look flawless. Me and Anna share everything except boyfriends! However we very rarely got boyfriends. My friendship group just seemed to ignore everyone and Either keep to themselves or just to the group except from me and Anna were more of the social butterfly's we like to get along with everyone no matter which group they were in, obviously there were ones which decided they didn't like us and didn't want to speak to us but we just brushed it off and forgot about them completely.

As I began coming back round into the real world I hadn't realised Anna had been speaking to me and I had no idea what she was saying to me.

" hey Anna what was that again I completely missed it I zoned out again I need to stop doing that."

"It's okay don't worry what I was saying was..."

"Come on spill it's not my fault my heads some place else right now"

" I was asking what I should do for my 18th birthday and was wondering that as mine and your birthdays were so close together we could do something together?"

"Yeah that would be great we should have a party. Come round mine after school and we will arrange it?"

"okay yeah sure that's fine and I already told my mum I'm coming to yours anyway" Anna turned towards me as she said it with a face splitting grin.

"Oh and I think you should know that there's a new boy starting today too and he's in most of your classes" Anna rushed the words out and then disappeared

Great just what I needed was another new person which loves themselves and is really attractive so all the girls except me will be interested, this sucks!

First period was english, it was my favorite subject in school it allowed me to write about what was in my day dreams and imagine things which i couldnt express in any other class. we was reading romeo and juliet act 1 scene 3, Mr Tanner would pick people out at rendom to read a diffferent part i always dreaded this bit as i hated to read out loud to the class i would always gain a stutter and couldnt read as quick as id like to, id get stuck on words which i knew and it always annoyed me Mr Tanner wouldn't ask me to read aloud much as i think he gathered that i didin't like too, so he'd pick out the people who werent paying attention or who was trying to be the "class clown" them type of peole always annoy me.

English went too quick which means i now have to endure another two hours of drama and science before i get to spend time with the people who make it worth coming to school.

My next class was drama, Anna's in this class with me so its not that hard to endure. i walk in put my coat and bag down on the floor of the drama studio and grab a chair from off of the neat stack and place it next to Anna which is of-course already seated.

"hello chick how was first period?" Anna spoke with a sarcastic tone to her voice

"it was good romeo and juliet again luckily i didnt have to read aloud. how was your english?"

"your great at reading though and even better at acting why dont you just pretend your in the drama studio doing the play instead of the class room? english was same old really Mrs Bennett going on and on about george and lennie in of mice and men." Annas tone seemed to have shifted from sarcastic to fed up

"whats up?" i ask Anna my voice alarmed and full of concern the only time i heard her voice sound like this was when her parents had broken up.

"well Lindsey decided to tease me like she normally does and pick out my faults and announce them to everyone embarassing me and when i tried to stand up for my self well Mrs Bennett heard and saw both parts but decided to put me in detention tonight after school. it wasnt as if it was really bad either i just told her to pull her troll skank face out of her ass and wake up and see that nothing she says hurts anyone, well... she just started to cry and now i have a 10 minute detenton after school wait for me please?"

"yeah of-course ill wait silly. Lindsey's a bitch everything you say will be the truth anyway" i started to laugh and so did Anna

"Rose, Anna! will you stop talking class has begun and i have an announcement to make!" Miss french shrieked

"oops sorry Miss French" me and anna replied in unison

Miss French went on about what we was doing in class for the next week it was a performance of our own choice, we are able to pick our own groups so the obvious choice is me and Anna together with some other people in the group. Then the door slamed open hitting to wall beside it...
