Chapter 7 Getting ready

Me and Anna were late to school the next day due to staying up too late party planning and had to take our skate boards luckily she had left hers here at mine when she slept over two weeks ago. We skated to school and it was drizzling with rain so when we got to school we were both soaked through luckily we keep spare clothes in our lockers just In case we need them. I pulled off my wet Abercrombie&Fitch hoodie and threw it into my locker luckily my black vest top wasn't wet I threw on my Lacoste jumper that was in my locker and a pair of blue jeans once I had slid out of my tracky bottoms and finally put on my white Nike air Max's as my vans were soaked through. Me and Anna just changed in the hall as everyone was in there class rooms plus it's not like anyone could see anything we were practically inside the lockers we were well hidden I was ready before Anna so I shut my locker up and leant against it, as we both have the same lessons we may as well walk together.

As I was waiting we heard a wolf whistle from down the corridor I looked over to Anna to see she was still changing out of her Jean shorts oh no she's not as confident as what I am she don't mind people seeing her change but she gets a bit self conscious about it so I ran towards her and stood I front of her blocking the view of who ever it was that was looking. When I looked down the hall I realised it was the twins so no big deal they aren't pervs unlike some of the lads at this school so I moved away from Anna to go hug the twins.

When I had finished hugging the twins and saying hello Anna was finished getting changed, her cheeks were bright red and she was blushing, I think someone has a slight crush on one of the twins I'm gonna have to figure out which one it is 😈. Me Anna and the twins ran to our lesson luckily we didn't have to go in alone and managed to sneak into the room without being seen doesn't matter though if we didn't Mrs Sission was too nice she wouldn't be bothered as she knows me and Anna work hard and listen to her instead of mess around like the others in our class. The school day went too quick and before I knew it I was jumping into my mums car ready to go home.

Once we arrived home dad was there and sitting on the sofa. Was he not well? Did he loose his job? All these questions were running through my head dad turned his head and saw the expression on my face

"It's alright sweetheart it's nothing bad, I've been promoted so my hours have changed, now i get more time to spend with my family" I ran up to him and gave him a big hug "well done daddy, we don't have to move though do we? I like it too much here to move away". Dad looked me in the eyes " no sweetheart don't worry we're not moving until you and Skye finish school then we will think about moving they said they will keep the job open for me until then and I will instantly get it because they understand the situation here with my family" mum came in the room so I gave my dad a quick kiss on the cheek and I took that as my que to leave towards my room before mum and dad started on some serious PDA ewww before I reached my room I heard my mum giggling oh god could they not wait? Mum shouted up the stairs just as I turned the door handle to go in my room "Skye, rose get dressed and wear something nice our neighbours that just moved in across the street are coming round for tea to meet and get to know us all." "Okay mum" me and Skye shouted in unison.

Time to get ready and I have no idea what I'm going to wear. I quickly jump in the shower and wash my hair as its gone like straw and really knotty from getting wet this morning I washed in my vanilla and honey body wash and my hair in tea tree shampoo and conditioner. Once I finished shaving and washing in the shower I jumped out and wrapped my towel around my body. I love my towel it's one of them that go on like a dress and Velcro's together at the front so it don't fall down so I don't have to hold it. I twisted my hair up in the towel walking into my walk-in wardrobe next door to the bathroom I decided on what I was going to wear for this meal tonight, I really couldn't be bothered to attend I'm just too tired. But mums forcing us and told us we had to make an effort to look nice aiming that comment at me I'd go in my comfies if I could. I decided on my black skinny jeans, white sweetheart neck line boob-tube top with my white and black pointed heels i paired my outfit with my pearl earrings and necklace my parents got me for Christmas one year.I dried my hair and let it fall in its natural wavy/ curly way added some lipstick, eyeshadow and my favourite perfume called alien, and grabbed my handbag from my bed. I was eventually ready with 10 minutes to spare. I walk out of my room the same time as Skye walked out of her room her hair was half up half down and perfectly straightened, she wore a similar outfit to me except she had a gold glittery boob-tube, black skinny jeans, black platform high heels, gold clutch paired with a gold and black ring and gold earrings, she had actually bothered with the whole foundation etc the only thing she didn't have on was lipstick.Whereas I go natural and don't need foundation just make an effort with my eyeshadow, eyeliner and lipstick, she goes all out. We both walked down the stairs at the same time making conversation on the way down saying how we liked each other's outfits and how great minds think alike as we reached the bottom step of the stairs we were being rushed into the living room to wait for our guests.
