( Raven's pov )
It's been a few hours there was only maybe 2 - 3 walkers left in the road so Carl decided we should start heading to Alexandria which was his community / camp I pulled out the screwdriver from the latch putting it in my backpack real quick I mean you never know when something like that will come in handy we slowly crept out into the once walker filled road
a waker of what I'm guessing was a 10 year old boy at some point came at me I quickly used my knife killing the walker before following behind Carl into the woods about a hour or two later we finally walked up to some really tall metal walls I was amazed that this was a real set up not just one with strings and cans like other camps I've run into from time to time I noticed Carl climbing down into a sewer system
" come on Raven " I heard him yell as it echoed off the pipes sides I then hesitantly decided to climbed in after him placing the lid back on before following him to another ladder
Once out of the sewer system my eyes went hug mostly due to the sun and of course due to what I was seeing there was fruit trees , gardens , a little sandy blonde girl with a African American women who was Carrying a white Samaria sword across her back walking along the gardens suddenly Carl grabbed my hand which threw me off guard while he dragged me over to the Samaria lady with the little blonde girl
When the woman noticed me her smile faded she was staring at mine and Carl's hands intertwined " hey Michonne have you seen my dad " Carl asked the beautiful women
( Carl's view )
" ya he was with Daryl , umm who is she Michonne asked wearily eyeing Raven up and down
" this is Raven Black " I found her while taking a walk she didn't have a group so I invited her to stay here with me " I calmly yet sternly told Michonne I could tell Raven was nervous
" do you think your dad will approve of this with what's going on with the Saviors for all we know they could have sent her here as a spy " Michonne angrily snapped while slowly hiding Judith behind her
Raven tried to back up away from Michonne but I kept my grip on her hand as her once light golden brown eyes changed to a deep brown almost black she then began to stutter " I ..I don't know w..what or who your talking about b..but I didn't survive this long killing walkers and avoiding people always fighting to survive just to get killed by a group at war "
She began slightly shaking seeing this must of soften Michonne cause she sighed and apologized to Raven for snapping
We then left towards my house leaving Michonne and Judith behind I noticed Raven was looking around in awe but something wasn't right she seemed to be lost in thought at the same time
" Raven are you OK , you know if it's about what Michonne said don't take it to hard she's just really cautious about new people" I said softly in hopes to make her feel better
( Raven pov )
" I understand that " I said back to Carl I couldn't explain it but having him by my side holding my hand sent a feeling through my body one I've never felt before but even with it I couldn't get the name Saviors out of my head it sounded so very familiar the name kept ringing in my head till finally I decided I'd ask Carl
" Hey Cowboy can I ask you a question " I asked causing Carl to smile at me
" sure birdy " he said with a nickname he apparently came up with making me giggle where it had came from I had no idea
" who are the Saviors And why are you guys fighting them " I asked causing his beautiful smile to fade into a sorrowful frown before he spoke
" their a group a bad group lead by a man named Negan he has a bat Lucille when he said that it dawn me the Saviors , Negan , Lucille I did know them I knew Negan all to well I hadn't realized that I had stopped walking until Carl asked me what was wrong
" it's nothing " I said hoping Carl wouldn't keep on the subject
" Oh ok " Carl said as his beautiful smile came back we quickly reached a beautiful modern two story white house it was so clean I felt even dirtier then I was I mean if that was even possible
" well I'll start cooking dinner do you like spaghetti " Carl asked genuinely concerned causing me to laugh a little
" it's the damn zombie apocalypse do I like spaghetti no I freaking love it " I said while spinning on a bar stool causing him to laugh as well
" you go take a shower I'll find you some clean pants and a tank top , you can borrow one of my flannels " Carl said making me stop mid spin
" you have running water " I said wide eyed with excitement all he did was point towards a door and went upstairs then came back down with a flannel and a pair of socks I'll get the pants and shirt from Michonne while I make dinner he said handing me the clothes
