CHAPTER 3 : Meeting Rick

( Carl's pov )

While gathering the stuff to make spaghetti I could hear Raven singing from in the shower I couldn't help but smile she sounded amazing and I had saved her after all

There was a knock on the door so I made my way through the house but when I opened it I saw it was Enid things have been a little awkward since the whole Ron dying and shooting my eye out thing

" is it a bad time " she asked I wanted to say yes but it could be important so I decided to invite her in as we got closer to the kitchen and bathroom we could hear Raven singing she was really really good from what I could hear but Enid suddenly became pissed

" who the hell is that " Enid asked her expression only growing angrier

" Raven ....Raven Black a girl I saved from a trap in the woods " I stated while listening to Raven's singing >

" you brought a savior spy into Alexandria are you crazy Carl " Edin angrily yelled just as Raven came out of the bathroom in only my gray flannel which was over sized on her and a pair of black socks on I hadn't noticed she had her backpack slung on her shoulder and her gun in hand with the other hand holding a towel around her waist until she spoke up

" umm.... Carl do you have the other clothes " she asked turning the corner seeing me and Edin

" oh hi " she said looking down and away from Edin and me as I quickly went up to her and handed her the clothes I had gathered

" hope these fit they were the smallest I could find so I guessed that they'd be your size " I said before she went back into the bathroom without looking back at me and Edin

" Edin I think it's time you go " I said walking towards the door

" you like her don't you it's her ain't it , not me but her you'll regret this Carl Grimes " she said angrily before storming out the front door

I went back and set the table just as I had finished Raven came back dressed in tight black skinny jeans , a tight black tank top , my gray flannel , her combat boots , while carrying her backpack , and wearing her thigh gun holster while she had her hair up in a high pony tail

She looked amazing

( Raven's pov )

Carl stood there just staring at me for a few seconds so I decided to ask if I could help in any way he kindly said no and that he had finished everything already and offered to show me where I'd be sleeping

Soon I was following behind Carl up the stairs until we were standing at a white door when he opened it we walked into the nice size room which had a few posters hanging on the walls , a bed , a tv , and a Xbox

Just while I was admiring the posters Carl pulled boxes out from under his bed that were filled with some of my favorite thing's still left in this world....

We laid across his bed reading and joking around for hours until we heard the door open after a few loud steps a husky  deep voice called out " CARL YOU IN HERE "

Carl quickly yelled back before adding that he'd be right down in a minute I started putting the comics away when Carl pulled out a cot and sleeping bag before snatching up a pillow we both finished at the same time I noticed that Carl was looking over his work with concern

" it's amazing Carl thank you " I said while fixing his hat that was sliding off from him hurrying around so fast

" I hope it's comfortable " he said blushing while looking directly in my eyes

" trust me I've been sleeping on worst thing then a cot this is going to be the best thing I've slept on in years " I chuckled as he fixed a stray strain of my hair behind my ear that had fallen out I could feel my cheeks begin to grow hot I knew I was blushing hard it was just something about his touch that made me

" we better get down there or your dad will be mad " I whispered as he nodded in agreement before taking my hand in his ...my heart was racing this time it wasn't just cause of his touch it was that his dad could possibly kill me

He stopped at the top of the stairs and faced me he looked seriously for the first time since I met him even if it was only hours ago

"Raven I have something I want to say all " all I could do was nod yes as a sign of ok go on that's when he promised me

" Raven I promise you that no matter what happens I'll protect you " he quickly hugged me then we began walking down the stairs again

We walked in the kitchen hand in hand when a dirty redneck biker looking guy turned around he grabbed a crossbow off the counter and aimed it at me my grip on Carl's hand tightened as my breathing became hitched

" Daryl don't " Carl sternly almost angrily said pulling me behind him so that Daryl would have to aim at him luckily for me Carl was a few inches taller then me

" Carl who the hell is she " a older man with a thin short gray beard asked from Carl's left side he had a shiny colt python strapped to his hip he looked like a sheriff / cowboy wanna be

( Carl's pov )

" I saved her from a trap while on a walk in the wood for supplies ..... before you say anything I told her she could stay with me she's been surviving on her own since practically the beginning " I sternly stated I could feel Raven slightly shaking

I took her free hand and had it so her arm was wrapped around my torso before trying to sooth her

" it's OK Raven they won't hurt you I won't let them remember what I said " I whispered while she had her forehead resting between my shoulder blades

" I know Carl ... and I will for you to I'm just scared " she whispered trying to stop her shaking I could feel her sighing

" well if that's so let's eat and get to know her more " dad said in a  slightly angry tone while handing me two plates I then handed one to Raven as we sat down next to each other

As everyone was eating you could tell that Raven was really nervous so dad tried asking questions like where Raven lived before , how many groups she's come upon , how many people and Walkers she's killed , he asked how old she was

By the end of dinner we found out she was roughly 17 , she lived in a small town in Georgia not far out of Atlanta before this turned out the same town we lived , that she came along most of the groups we had Including Terminus turns out cause of Carol's distraction she was able to escape , she's killed 3 guy who had tried to rape her at Terminus and has killed 972 Walkers which was a really good amount
