CHAPTER 4 : First night / Family

( Raven's pov )

Soon everyone one was done eating I had offered to help wash dishes with Michonne so now I was drying plates while everyone else hung out around us

" So what happened to your parents " Rick asked causing Carl's eye's to widen and slightly choke on his drink

" Dad you don't just ask that out of the blue " Carl yelled once he regained the ability to speak I had stopped drying plates without realizing it

" Raven what happened to your parents " Rick repeated it sounded more like a demand this time then a question my eyes began to burn and my vision was already blurring at the thought of them

" my....my mom died before all of this she died of cancer when I was 7 ..... tears slipped down my left cheek I missed her so much everyday but in a way I was glad she was gone so she didn't have to deal with this world

" what about your dad " Rick asked a little bit kinder this time I took a deep breath and told him

" it was a week into the break out dad's gang was with us .... at first he was really protective over me but when a heard came we were trapped in a building more walkers began to fill the room I was surrounded dad only looked back as him and his gang left I only survived cause I hid in a air duct " I told Rick

I couldn't help but think the name of gang my father was in was The Saviors my father's name was Negan and my mother's name was Lucille but I knew if Rick found out I'd be killed or worse held hostage for my dad I hated him he abandoned me he left me for dead he didn't even try to save me he didn't care about me

Soon me and Carl went back to his room where we talked before going to bed it took awhile but I finally fell asleep to the sound of Carl's snores

( Carl's pov )

I woke up cause I had to use the bathroom when I got up I saw Raven moving around in her sleep when I came back from using the bathroom I noticed she was thrashing around more mumbling " daddy no don't leave me please daddy " I saw tears rolling down her pale cheeks I felt bad for her and was trying to decide if I should wake her or not that's when she started mumbling again

" mommy why does daddy always drink with his buddy's the Saviors "

" mommy mom wake up wake up daddy why ain't mommy waking up " she mumbled that's when I decided to wake her up she did know the Saviors who was her dad he had to be one of them or maybe he was no it couldn't be him Raven was to kind of a person to be Negan's daughter I mean did Negan even have a kid he didn't seem like the father type

Raven looked up at me tears streaming down her face she unexpectedly wrapped her arms around my neck hugging me tightly I quickly wrapped my arms around her small torso  hugging her back while trying to sooth her

We decided to watch a movie so we picked Harry Potter and the goblet of fire🔥 me and Raven laid on my bed half way through the movie Raven had dozed off and had her head resting on my shoulder I turned the TV off before dozing off myself

( Raven's pov )

Knock....knock I woke up to someone knocking on Carl's door so I carefully slipped off of Carl's bed and made my way to the door opening it reviling a tired looking Rick

" oh umm sorry I didn't mean to wake you is Carl up " he asked I just simply shook my head and pointed at Carl sleeping Rick nodded his head understanding what I was trying to say

" will you come with me to the fence then " he asked I knew I couldn't say no so I told him I'd be right down
