Shey's POV
"Start moving them!" I commanded to the others. It was a few days after the attack and we were still collecting bodies. It seemed the fight had also been in the forest and we were collecting the bodies of all the soldiers.

I was standing at the body of a boy who looked to be my age. He was one of the intruders but I didn't care. He was just following orders, probably only doing it for the money. I pulled him towards another body of a dead intruder before going  to the next body and dragging it towards the group of our dead. Before I continued I looked around hearing someone call out an order, my small group of seven looked around. We heard it again. It was coming from the creek that we were beside. I saw the edge of a boat come around the long brush.

"Get down!" I hissed at my group. Everyone dropped to the ground including my horse who lay beside Amber. I could see the small boat through the grass, it held four men and one woman. I shifted slowly so I was beside the dead bodies so it looked like I had been dragged there. When the boat got close I closed my eyes. I heard it hit the bank and the people jump off, landing on the solid ground.

"What is this?" I heard a man ask. By the sound of his voice he was a younger man.

"It looks like they are piling the bodies up sir." A mans voice gruffly answered. "That must be collecting all the bodies not just their own." He said nudging me with his foot. I kept a straight face not giving myself away.

"That's a noble thing to do." The younger man replied. The other man grunted in response.

"That horse is still breathing." The woman said her voice was cold and emotionless. I didn't want my horse or Amber to be found so I leaped up and held my short sword to the older man with the gruff voices throat. My companions jumped up as well and did the same to the others of the new group.

"You won't be touching my horse." I told him matter-of-a-fact. One of the others went to the man I was holding at sword point and took over my position. I walked over to Amber and helped her up, I whistled and my horse stood up tall. I patted Xander before talking to the other group again. "What business do you have in the clan lands?"

"We were ordered to speak to your leader." Said the gruff voiced man.

"Why would we let you do that?" I asked him coolly. "Why not just kill you instead?"

"Because I'm not that easy to kill sweetness." The woman spat out.

"Neither am I, honey bunch." I replied sweetly.

The older man ignored the woman and gave me an answer. "Because you do have some honour, don't you? When you were fighting me you left me to protect the children."

That's why he nudged me whe I was lying on the ground, he recognised me. "When did I fight you?" I asked him not recalling it. He looked at me in disbelief before pulling up his sleeve and showing my his bandaged arm.

"Well spotted." He growled at me.mi realised I remembered him.

"Oh, that." I said. "No hard feelings right?" I don't exactly keep track of people I fight in a battle. I must have fought so many people." I shrugged. "I kind of lose control and not pay attention."

"You seemed to pay a lot of attention." He said back rudely.

I smiled letting out a breath. "Amber?" Amber walked up to me. "Your going to ride into camp anndinform the leaders of an emergency meeting." I told her.

"You are not rigging your horse?" She asked,

"No you are." I said helping her up. "Off you go." My horse raced away with her holding onto the he reins tightly.
