Clementine(POV)

"Are you alright? You keep spacing out." Esmee(Es-may) questioned. "Huh? Oh yeah, I'm fine." I said, staring at the window. ""Clementine? Clementine!" Esmee(Es-may) said and I looked at her. "What?" I questioned. "Come on, we have to pay our taxes." Esmee(Es-may) said, standing up, and grabbed the money bags. "Alright." I said, standing up, and walked out of the inn. We walked down the streets, passing people, and Esmee(Es-may) screamed, she pointed to a man running away with money. "Stop! Thief!" Esmee(Es-may) yelled, but I grabbed my skirt and started bolting, pushing people out of my way. I ran quicker than before, my heart pounding in my chest. I finally tackled the man and grabbed my money, and stood up. "Haven't you heard? Don't steal from a lady." I said, kicking him, and walked back to Esmee(Es-may).

"You have an admirer." Esmee(Es-may) said as she pointed to the roof, and I saw a hooded assassin. "Who is that?" I questioned. "I don't know, I've never seen him before. Must be from a different brotherhood." Esmee(Es-may) said. "Ouais, doit etre." (Yeah, must be.) I said and she smiled. "Whatever. You like him too." Esmee(Es-may) said. "I don't even know him. He might have somebody else." I said walking to our house.

"Taxes please." The guard said. Esmee(Es-may) gave him the bags and he smiled. "Your always on time mademoiselles." He said. "We don't want to leave the king waiting." I said. "You ladies have a good day." He said, riding off. "You too." Esmee(Es-may) said, before looking at me.

"Ava needs us. She has a mission for us."
