Chapter 12

Arno's POV

I pushed out Ava's room and ran out the door. Esme saw Ava calling my name as I bolted out the room. I climbed the rooftops and ran towards the center, where the French were.

Esme's POV

I run out the doors, seeing Arno climbing the building. I quickly followed and see him heading towards the center, were the French are. "Shit Arno." I whispered, running after him stealthy. Once he jumps down into the center, I carefully kneeled down, hiding behind a pillar.

Once Arno was captured and about to be killed. I jumped down and assassinated one guard, getting there attention. "He's no threat to you, he didn't fight, but I... I am the threat." I sheathed my hidden blade.

Two guards were holding Arno, as 6 others were to fight against me. I ran forward, flipping over one guy, by stepping on his knee, yet only to assassinate the other one, another attacked me, only to be deflected and I deflected his friends attack, then stabbing the 3rd in the back. I bitch slapped the 4th, stabbing his face.

The 5th kneed me in the stomach, only for him to get kneed 2 times and his throat slit. I assassinated the 6th, walking over to Arno, the others fleeing, only to get shot in the back.

I was close to Arno, yet, I turn around to get punched to the ground. He picked me up and punched me again. I see Leroy standing in the walk way, but the big man looked into that direction and shot Leroy. "Leroy!" I screamed.

My eyes... I couldn't see... My anger... was growing...

My eyes slowly lightened as I looked at what I've done, then at Leroy. I dropped my gun and ran over to Leroy, Arno slowly stood up. "Leroy, please move anything, show me your alive." I softly said. He moved his hand on my hand. "I'm right here... Ahh." He groaned. I grabbed some alcohol put it on his wound and bandaging it.

Leroy softly smiled and laughed softly. "It's ok, Esme, I'll be alright." Leroy said. Arno kneeled next to me. He helped Leroy up. We got greeted by everyone else. I looked at Clementine, as I saw fear in her eyes. "Arno, take him back safely, Garrin and Christofor, make sure they make it back in one piece." I ordered.

Arno nodded and helped Leroy towards the hideout. I walked towards Clementine and she walked away. Ava looked at me and hugged me. "Thank you. For saving a brother." She smiled. "Yeah, but I put another one in danger." I said walking away.
