Chapter 14: Tower Of Heaven Arc: Part 3

Natsu stood dumbfounded.
"What do you mean Anti- Slayer magic. I've never heard of anything like that." He said.
"Long ago the during the Great War for the Earth-Land. A dragon, devil, and god all met in secret. They wanted to forge an alliance and planned to betray their kind and claim Earth-Land for themselves. The only thing in their way was the creation of slayer magic. To counter it they created a new type of magic which combined all the slayers magic to make a single slayer magic. It was deemed Anti- Slayer Magic. However before it could be used they were caught and the magic was lost. The only remaining knowledge was a single book which was locked into a hidden temple. My father accidentally discovered the temple and found the book. He however was killed by you before he could unlock its secrets."
"I've never killed anyone. What are you taking about." Natsu defended.
"Your friends aren't here any more so there's no reason to lie. I've had my eye on you for quite a bit. I know that when you go on solo missions that you don't mind if blood is shed. My father worked for a dark guild called Whispering Death to acquire funds for his research." Luke said.
Natsu remembered that guild. It was one of his first jobs when he joined Fairy Tail. He had completely decimated the place and spared no one.
"I had to watch as someone younger than me killed my father and the guild that took care of me. So I have spent my life mastering this magic and now I am ready to avenge him." Luke declared.
"I'm sorry that I killed your father but you will not prevent me from helping my friends."
By then Akane resort had been evacuated and there was no on besides them. Natsu got into a fighting stance and so did Luke.
'This anti slayer magic seems dangerous. I'll have to be careful.' Natsu thought.
The two eyed each other and stood motionless. It's was so quiet you could hear a pin drop. Luke dashed forward at great speeds which caught Natsu off guard. He threw a vicious kicked aim right for Natsu's head. Natsu dodged the kick and regained his footing. He threw a punch at Luke but it was easily blocked. The two began to launch attack after attack on each other but no one could land a blow. Natsu noticed that Luke was getting faster after every attack. At one point Luke swung a heavy punch at Natsu but slightly missed his target. Natsu used this to land his own punch launching Luke through the buildings and onto the concrete walkway out side. Natsu followed outside and saw Luke getting up and dusting his suit off. Besides some damage to his clothing he was unharmed.
"It's gonna take a lot more than that to hurt me." Luke said.
"Then lucky for you I have a lot more to give." Natsu shot back.
He now covered his hands in fire and glared at his opponent.
"Is this the dragon slayer magic that was bestowed upon you?" Luke asked.
"No. This right here is just plain fire magic. I don't know if I need to bring in the big guns just yet." Natsu said.
"You dare underestimate me. This will lead to your down fall." Luke warned. He began to power up as a dark red aura formed around him. He beam lined towards Natsu and threw a powerful punch. Natsu caught it but the force of it pushed him back. Luke then swept his legs from beneath him and kicked him in the chest. Natsu rolled back but bounced up on his feet. He made a sweeping gesture with his hands and dozens of fire balls began to pelt Luke. After they were done all that was left was a cloud of smoke. Natsu walked up wanting to see if it had damaged him. All of an sudden Natsu felt Luke move behind him. He tried to turn around but was left wide open to a barrage of attacks. After the combo ended Natsu was threw back out onto the sandy beach. Luke jumped into the air and yelled.
"ANTI DRAGONS ROAR"
A dark red flame came down and hit Natsu dead and caused a explosion. Luke grinned as he knew that attack had damaged his opponent. Natsu stood up and winced as he felt a warm liquid falling down his face. His own bodily fluid he hadn't seen in years. Blood.
"Looks like the Salmander draws blood first. My how the mighty have fallen." Luke laughed.
Natsu just stood and watch the blood drip from his face to the ground. His hair covering his eyes.
"Do you give up Natsu. Have you realized your no match for me and lost the will to fight. If so then I'll end your life right now." Luke said while charging at Natsu prepared to finish him. Right as the blow was about to connect Natsu dodged it and punched Luke in the stomach. The force behind it made Luke fly back and tumble on the ground a bit.
"Looks like you still have some fight in you." He said.
His eyes widened however when he saw Natsu. He was surrounded by a frenzy of flames that was so hot that the sand on the below him was turning into glass. It then shattered from the pressure of Natsu's power. Luke decided to follow suit and released his full power matching Natsu's. The two of there powers where causing the area to shake like an earthquake. This time Natsu was the first one to attack Luke. He used his flames to burst towards Luke and used a magic that he hadn't in awhile.
"FIRE DRAGONS IRON FIST"
Luke made a x with his arms to block it but it was easily broken. He flipped back and raised his hand up.
"You fell for my trap you idiot. ANTI DRAGONS SIPHON"
A dark flame shot out and hit Natsu in his chest. He then began to feel his magic leave him at a rapid rate and he knew that he needed to escaped. He blasted out his fire in all directions and broke out of the attack. He still felt very weak. While Luke's power continued to increase and surpass his own.
"Did you not listen to my story. My power was made to counter yours. The second you used that magic I fed off of it and got and immense power boost. Victory is as good as mine." He boasted.
"If you can siphon off any of my slayer magic then I'll make sure that you have plenty of it."
"What do any of my slayer magic. You only have dragon slayer magic. I've already drained you of that."
"Then you don't know a lot about me. If you did then you always know that I have a few tricks up my sleeve."
Natsu began to charge up again and was coated in his standard flames.
'Is he that dumb. I'll just have to siphon off more of his magic." Luke thought.
He stopped when Natsu's flames began to darken and he surrounded by lighting. The air began to blow as high winds pushed against them. Natsu eyes snapped toward Luke and he launched towards him. Luke took a defensive position but it didn't matter as Natsu began to mercilessly beat Luke down.
"This is my Slayer God Mode." Natsu roared.
"What's going on. I can't siphon off any of his magic" He thought.
Luke tried to land a hit but he was punished for it by receiving a punch to the face. Natsu kicked Luke high into the air and then used his fire to boost towards his creating tall glass pikes around the launch point. He then jumped above Luke and launch his finishing move.
"SLAYER GOD'S ROAR"
A muti elemental roar send Luke crashing into the ground and caused a massive explosion. Natsu powered down knowing that the fight was over. When the area cleared Natsu frowned at the site in front of him. Luke had been impaled by one of the glass pikes Natsu has created. It had left him about 4 feet off the ground and was stained with his blood. Natsu walked over to him and heard wheezy breath sounds from him. He was surprised that he was still alive. But he knew that he wouldn't last much longer. Luke made a great effort and managed to turn his head towards Natsu.
"Don't give me the look. It's not *cough* death that I fear. It's the fact that *wheeze* could not avenge my father for his murder." He said.
Natsu walked ever closer and looked straight into Luke's eyes.
"You wanna know why I ended everyone in that guild. In the area they have been slaughtering people in nearby towns that didn't or couldn't pay them high amounts of money. I took a job to investigate these killings and found a town called Yedina. When I arrived there was no one left alive except for one guy. He was badly beaten and burned so I knew he was a goner. The last thing he said to me was.
"Please stop them. Don't let them get away with this. Find Naru Yamato." That was the last thing he said to me before he died. Naru was your dad and he just didn't work for Whispering Death but he was the master of the guild. So I made it my plan to go and wipe them out for there crimes." Natsu said.
"LIAR! *ack* My father was a kind and caring man. He would never do something so evil."
"Take is easy. I now it's hard to believe but I'm not gonna lie to a man on his deathbed. Don't believe me if you want to but I'm telling the truth." He said.
He could tell that Luke was an inch away from death. He could barely sense his magic and he was becoming less responsive.
"I have one final question for you. *cough* I want to know the secret to your strength. What is the Slayer God."
Natsu debated whether he should tell him or not but figured that since Luke was dying no on else would know.
"The Slayer God is a combination of all slayer magic like yours. The difference is mine isn't meant to counter slayer magic. It's meant to embrace it. Making me immune to all slayer magic. He said"
"Heh. A counter magic to my counter magic. It was an honor fighting you Natsu Dragneel." Was the final words of Luke Yamato as the life vanished from his body. Natsu didn't want to leave him so he cremated him right there and let the wind carry the ashes away. He then looked out into the sea and remembered that his friends needed his help. He sprouted wings of fire and flew towards the tower of heaven.

Okay guys. It has been too long. I have a lot of catching up to do so I'm gonna do a overhaul. I'll be cranking out new chapters left and right and I'm gonna release a new book. Spoiler alert but it's gonna be  a Nalu story so be ready for that. See ya
