Chapter 18: Fantasia Parade

Day of the parade
Natsu sat on the corner of his bed deep in thought. He knew what events would transpire today. It was the day Laxus would try and take over Fairy Tail. The only problem was how he would decide to handle it. Honestly he could go and stop Laxus right now. Be he didn't know how that would effect the future. But he didn't wanna wait until Laxus had caused damage to the majority of the town. And he couldn't afford to be caught in Freed's runes. The thought of his friends fighting each other displeased him. Another thing is that Laxus had to be kicked out of Fairy Tail. That was a given. His departure from the guild strengthened his care for his friends and taught him a valuable lesson. As he weighed the pros and cons he was thinking about letting history run its course. But then he remembered that during this time. His presence didn't really matter until after Freed's runes were cancelled. He constructed a great plan. One to make sure things went the right way. At this moment he heard commotion from the guild hall and Laxus's voice using him sensitive hearing. The time had come.

Natsu had made it back into the final moment of Laxus grand speech about the rules of his battle of Fairy Tail.
"Who does Laxus think he is." Said a guild member.
"Let's go drag him out of his hiding hole and save the girls." Another member yelled.
They all began leaving to search for Laxus. Leaving behind Natsu,Happy and Makarov. They both ran up only to be stopped cold by Freed's runes.
"What the. Stone statues or those over 70 years of age. Are banned from leaving the area." Makarov read.
"What. Then why can't I leave." Natsu played off knowing the real reason."
"I don't know. But I don't know who among my children could defeat Laxus. With Ezra frozen and you trapped. This may be the end."
A rustling was heard from behind and the 3 of them turned to see who it was. Gajeel emerged from behind the counter eating all the metal silverware.
"Gah. Don't eat the utensils." Happy yelled.
"Quiet down cat.  I'll take care of your lightning head." He said walked into toward the door. He to stopped by the runes.
"These runes don't make any sense." said Happy.

Okay some I'm kinda lazy and don't feel like typing all the filler moments. If you wanna know what happens just watch the anime.

After the runen cleared Gajeel and Natsu finally we're able to go towards Laxus. Natsu however told Gajeel he would let him have first dibs. They arrived just as Ezra was leaving to go and stop the thunder palace. She ran past him after telling him to stop Laxus. Walking into the cathedral. Natsu hid while Gajeel approach Laxus.
"Look who walks in. The reason for all of this happening." Laxus said.
"I ain't the reason for nothing. Don't use me as an excuse." Gajeel short back.
"I suppose your right. This has been a long time coming. You were mearly the final push."
"Are you gonna keep talking or are we gonna fight"
Before Laxus could respond Gajeel charged forward and threw a punch at Laxus. Who easily blocked it.
"Your gonna have to do better than that." He said.
Gajeel frowned that tried to kick Laxus. He leaned back and dodged it before punching Gajeel away. Gajeel regained his footing before turning his arm into a metal beam.
"Iron Dragons Lance."
He swung his arm straight into Laxus who amusingly caught it.
"Pathetic."
Gajeel made a growling noise than stood tall.
"Iron Dragons Scales."
His body became covered in metal scales and he had a smile on his face.
"Let's see you deflect this." He said.
He charged Laxus and the two of them began trading blows. Gajeel's fist barley hurt Laxus. While Laxus's hits cracked Gajeel scales. Seeing this Gajeel jumped into the air and gather his magic.
"Iron Dragons Roar."
His roar crashed down onto Laxus. Causing a explosion. Gajeel smiled thinking he must have done some damage. His smile disappeared when a bolt of lightning came blasting towards him. Unable to dodge or block he took the full force of Laxus's punch straight to the gut.
"Ok metal head. My turn."
Laxus unleashed a series of critical blows all over Gajeels body. He then threw Gajeel several feet away. His body crippled from the devastating onslaught.
"That's was almost too easy. Your not worthy of my presence. You deserved to be wiped off the face of the earth. Gives me an idea."
A magic circle appeared in front of Laxus. His magic powered soared as he gathered his attack.
"Raging Bolt."
A large bolt of lightning sped towards Gajeel. Unable to move. He stood at the mercy of the spell. A bright explosion occurred and Laxus laughed assuming he had annihilated his opponent.
"Hahaha. There's not even a scratch of clothing left from you."
"Think again Laxus." A voice said.
Laxus looked up to see Natsu holing a unconscious Gajeel. He jumped down and moved him out away from the area.
"I'm going to give you the opportunity to give up Laxus. You know you can't beat me." Natsu said.
"I wouldn't be so sure. It's been awhile Natsu."
The two titans began charging up. There collective powers shaking the very air. Natsu however noticed something.
'This Laxus is way more powerful than before... This is going to be interesting."
