Chapter 9

Ashton's P.O.V.

I look down at Shyla as she sleeps on her side, calmly breathing out of her slightly opened mouth. I reach forward stroking her hair out of her face. Its been 3 weeks since she has woken up, the doctor said she could leave today if everything was normal. I'm just hoping everything gets better for her she is already graduated they said they wouldn't make her go through high school since she has been here for 3 years. I'm glad she doesn't have to be in high school anymore the 3 years without her was hell.

The door opens and I look up to see Hannah and the doctor. "Everything seems normal, nothing wrong the only thing I would worry about is her walking. She has been getting better each week but I would watch her just in case" I nod and he continues "She can go home in about an hour she is already signed out"

"Ok thank you," I say.

He nods and leaves. I look at Shyla as Hannah gets Shyla's stuff she will need. "I'll take her stuff to the car and pull it up you can help the nurses with her"

'Ok," I say. She picks up the bags and leaves for the car.

I look at Shyla again. Lips parted so relaxedly, eyes closed she looks so calm. I was so deep in thought I didn't notice the nurse walking in with a chair. "We can take her to the car now," one says. I nod and stand up sliding my arms under her pulling her into my chest. She wakes a tiny bit opening her eyes.

"It's ok baby you can go ahead and go back to sleep you're going home" I kiss her head and she closes her eyes and I set her in the chair. They pulled her out of the room as I walked behind them. I'm glad she can come home I'm not going to leave her side until she doesn't want me there. I hope that day never comes.

Shyla's P.O.V.

"It's ok baby you can go ahead and go back to sleep you're going home" I heard him say then he kissed my head and I fell back asleep. It wasn't long before I woke up. I found myself in a wheelchair rolling down a long white hallway I look behind me expecting Ashton being the one pushing me but it's wasn't him it's was a nurse I'm guessing. I look around beside me looking for Ashton and start to freak. A nurse walks up and grabs my hands and says "mam calm down everything thing is ok calm down"

"Let me go don't touch me" I freak out even more and squeeze my eyes shut.

"Calm down shy it's ok it's ok I got you" I open my eyes finding Ashton right there I hug him instantly.

"I thought you were gone again I'm sorry I got scared," I say hugging him tightly.

"Shhhh I got you it's ok I'll never leave you again," he says holding me tightly. I hold onto him and we stay like that for a moment. He pulled away after a minute.

"Let's get you home," he says and I nod, he holds my hand and they push me out of the hospital where Hannah is waiting in at the car.

When she sees me she smiles and opens the back door and I smile. I was about to get up when Ashton picks me up and carries me to the car. I hold on as he puts me in the car and he kisses my head buckling me up then closing the door. They load up in the car and Hannah smiles back at me and drives. Once my head laid back on the seat I passed out once again.

Hey guys sorry, this chapter is so short but at least I updated. I might go back and edit the story more and I might add another chapter that I missed out on typing it's might go before the one where Ashton "ran" away. I'm not sure yet but I'll get that up as soon as I can. I'm really proud of this book so far and can't wait to keep writing this. I love you guys see you when I update.
