I miss you - Beyonce.

Katie.

"Oh good, your awake." I woke up to the sound of Jordan's deep, soothing voice. It settled me for a second but then pain knocked at my scalp.

"What happened?" I croaked and my voice came out huskier than expected.

"Don't worry about it, we'll talk in the morning." He smoothed down my hair and kissed my forehead. "I'll be on the floor if you need."

"Mmm, no, bed." I protested and tapped the pillows to my right.

He chuckled a little and the bed dipped beside me. I rested my head on his chest and tangled my legs with his. He gave me the kind of look that you would give an adorable puppy in a kennel. I felt the rise and fall of his chest on my cheek and the heat from his body flowed through me as I drifted off to sleep.

Jordan.

Light winked at me when my heavy eyes opened slowly. The long curtains were closed but light still seeped in and a side lamp was turned on behind me. You're in a hotel room, I reminded myself.

I switched onto my other side and my limp arm laid on top of someone's stomach.

"Hey." A light voice rang through my ears then I realised it was Katie. She sat on top of the duvet with her knees pulled up and her head was stuck in her phone. I shifted and sat up next to her then peaked at her phone - she was reading.

"Hey gorgeous." I replied and she shone a siren smile but her eyes were still glued on the screen. She was fully dressed and so was I. The events of last night replayed in my head and pain slashed my heart.

She got the the end of the chapter and finally switched to phone off, turning to me. "Why did you bring me here last night?" She asked.

My brain had the register what she was saying for a second, why did I bring her here?

Oh yeah, "Well, I now realise I should have just taken you to your house but this was closer." I shrugged.

She smiled from ear to ear once again and I swear my heart skipped a beat. "It's fine, I like waking up next to you." Suddenly her smile dropped and her eyes grew to wide for her face. "Wait! We should be here, you shouldn't be out of the house."

She swung her legs round the bed but I grabbed them and pulled her into me until our faces were only an inch apart. "What if someone recognises you, like at school?" She whispered.

"Then I'll run, like at school." I smirk.

"Jordan." She sighed.

I had to tell her eventually, it's the whole reason I even agreed to go to the party. "Someone turned themselves in."

"What?" She looked as surprised as I was when dad told me.

"Yeah, probably someone who owed Ian something big. So police might call you in to double check. You can tell them what you want but I'd suggest tell them it's him." I pleaded.

She nodded slowly then pulled herself out of my grasp. "I'm gonna call mum."

She slipped off the bed and walked into the bathroom while I watched. Her hips had an easy sway that drew me in.

I would never get away from this woman.

Katie.

"Mum, you in here?" I called while walking into the kitchen. Jordan drove me back to my house and dropped me at the door.

"What the hell is wrong with you?" Mum ran into the kitchen, frantic, and pulled me into a hug. She pulled me back by my shoulder and dipped her eye line to mine. "I have been calling you all night, where were you?"
