Katniss

Katniss looked after Finnick wistfully as he walked to Annie. Annie stood on her toes and kissed him. Finnick kissed her back, but Katniss could tell it was hesitant. Her father had taught her how to read actions.

Katniss had had a crush a on Finnick since the day he came up to her and asked her about her secrets. She knew Finnick probably knew all of them. Except one.

As she danced with Finnick, she had gazed into his eyes and saw the warmth in them. She knew that Finnick did not love her back.

There was still Peeta. She loved Peeta. She knew he loved her back, even if his condition said otherwise.

Katniss knew Peeta wouldn't make it to see the new Panem. The one they were fighting for. She knew that they could never live happily together. Perhaps there was no one for her.

The wedding came to an end. Katniss grabbed Prim, who was dancing with Gale, and together, they rushed off to their room.

She turned around once, just to catch another glimpse of Finnick's face.
