Yeah you stole my sanity, now you are the enemy.

Chapter 18~The Enemy~
I opened my eyes, momentarily confused as I felt wind tug at my clothes and hair. Sitting up, I realized it was completely dark outside and I was on the ground. There were a few trees surrounding me, but it was silent out.
I stood slowly, trying to figure out where I was. I turned, looking around for something or someone else, but even as I strained my ears for noise, I realized something was wrong. I couldn't even hear the trees in the wind, or any other sounds that a forest should have. It was deadly quiet.
Sudden dread settled in the pit of my stomach when something darted across my vision.
I froze, trying to track the movement through the trees, but it was like nothing existed beyond them. It was just....dark.
Something's wrong.
There was a low growl behind me, and I was running before I even fully registered the noise.
I forced my legs faster, but it felt like I was trying to run through syrup. I could hear close panting behind me, and my heart wanted to beat out of my chest.
I gasped for air as I pushed through the tree line.
And turned the corner into a hallway.
I locked my legs, skidding to a stop as I frowned. There was a single doorway halfway down the hall. My eyes followed the walls of the corridor to the end. Where a figure with white hair was smiling.
I lurched forward, darting for the door as the figure drew closer. "You can't outrun me."
A chill travelled down my back as I yanked on the door handle. The door gave way easily, and I shoved my way inside just as a hand locked around my shoulder.
I nearly screamed, whipping around and kicking out to get him off me.
But suddenly no one was there.
I turned, slamming the door and leaving myself in complete darkness. Even my enhanced eyes couldn't detect anything in this light. It was unnerving. Get out. Get out now!
I focused on slowing my breathing, feeling as if I was about to pass out from the fear that consumed me. I let out a single breath, stepping back away from where I thought the door was. Now how was I supposed to get out of here?
Something wrapped around my neck and I screamed.
I was jerked backwards, against someone taller than me as a hand wrapped around my waist and another one covered my mouth.
"I've missed you, Ruby."
I felt warm breath hit my neck and I writhed in his grip. He didn't even stumble as he pulled me with him in the dark. I couldn't see what was happening, and the adrenaline felt like it burned my veins.
I twisted, catching a flash of green before my whole body was submerged in water.
I choked, trying to get an extra breath of air before I was pushed under. The water felt like pure ice, chilling me to the bone as my lungs burned for air. I fought to get to the surface, fear scrambling my thoughts until I couldn't even think of anything but air.
I could hear blood rushing in my ears and I twisted to get away from the hands holding me under.
I came face to face with a wolf.
