I'm falling into that silent state
Quietness overcoming my talkative lips
My mind is shutting down
No one is listening anyway.
They don't hear me when I whisper
They don't hear me when I mumble
They don't hear me when I talk
They don't hear me when I yell
They don't hear me when I cry
They don't hear me when I scream
Why would they listen
To a girl who never speaks?
Why would they talk
To a girl who never whispers?
Why would you care,
If I never spoke again
If my lips fell silent
Then maybe my thoughts would too.
