I walked inside from a long day of school. My mom was cleaning the kitchen.
"Hey sweetie how was school?" Mom asked.
"It was good. How was your day?" I asked.
"Good."
"Someone from school is coming over to work on a school project with me. Is that okay?" I asked.
"That's fine." She said.
I walked up the stairs into my room. I laid down on my bed. I was exhausted. I heard my phone buzz. It was Archie texting me.
Archie: The woman that was robbed camera picked up three men.
Me: okay.
Archie: what if it was the new kid.
Me: Come on Archie be realistic.
Archie: Has he come over yet?
Me: No, he'll be over at 6:00. Please don't come over and freak him out like at lunch.
Archie: I won't just tell me if he confesses, or says anything.
Me: alright, ttyl
I sighed. I laid my head down and shut my eyes and fell asleep.

I woke up and looked at the clock.
It was 5 minutes till 6:00. I sat up. I walked downstairs to wait.
I sat and watched tv for a few minutes and heard a nock on the door.
I sprang off the couch and ran to the door. I opened it.
"Hi." Peter said.
"Hey, come in." I said, opening the door wider.
He walked in.
"Wow you have a beautiful house." He said.
"Thank you." I said.
My mom walked into the room.
"Hello, I don't beleive we've met." My mom said.
"I'm Peter." He said, shaking her hand.
"I'm Alice Cooper, Betty's mom." My mom said.
"Nice to meet you mrs. Cooper." He said.
"Well we better start getting to work." I said.
"Alright, me and chic are gonna go out. We''ll be back in not to long." She said.
Chic came walking down the stairs. Peter looked over at him the smile slipping off his face.
"Come on chic let's go." Mom said.
Chic followed her out the door.
"Betty, is chic your brother?" Peter asked.
"Um, yeah. " I said.
"Does he uh live here?" He asked.
"Yeah." I said.
Peter was acting really weird.
"Do you wanna get to work?" I asked.
"Yeah." He said.
We sat at the dinning room table. I opened my folder.
"So I was thinking we could maybe use this." I said.
He nodded.
"Do you have any ideas?" I asked.
"Not really." He said, looking at the room.
He looked really nervous.
"Are you okay." I said.
"Yeah, I'm fine." He said.
"Are you okay?" He asked.
"I'm fine." I said.
Now I was uncomfortable. Maybe Archie was right. Something was wrong with Peter. I looked at him. He looked so worried. But when I looked at him I didn't see a dangerous person. I felt safe.
"Are you enjoying Riverdale?" I asked.
"Yeah, it's nice here." I said.
"Anything, troubling I can help with." I asked.
"No." He said.
I think I was being obvious at this point.
"Betty, are you sure your alright. You seem a little nervous." He said.
"I'm fine. " I said.
He started talking about the project.
I watched him talk trying to study everything about him. He smiled a little like he new what I was thinking. His voice was so clear and relaxing. My mind was finally thinking about one thing. Him...
"Can I get something to drink?" He asked.
I stood up.
"Yeah, sure what do you want?" I asked.
"Water would be fine." He said.
I poured Him and me some water.
"So have you made some friends yet?" I asked.
"No, your the only one." He said.
I smiled. I nocked a glass off the counter with my arm.
Peter jumped out of his seat and caught it right before it hit the ground.
"Wow, speedy reflexes." I said.
He laughed sitting the glass on the counter.
"Yeah, I guess." He said.
We both sat back down.
"So where do you live?" I said.
"Um actually just like 6 houses down, the blue house." He said.
"Alright." I said.
"Well if you or your aunt ever need anything my family is here." I said.
"Thanks." He said.
He looked down at his watch.
"It 7:00 I have to get home to Aunt May." He said.
"Alright, thanks for coming over." I said.
"Thanks for having me. Have a goodnight." He said.
He left.
I ran to my room and grabbed my phone.
Me: Hey Archie, I think you might be on to something with Peter.
Archie: Is everything alright?
Me: He was just acting weird. Let's meet up tommarow we can talk more.
Archie: Alright.
Archie: Goodnight.
Me: Goodnight.
I turned my phone off. I sighed. I shut my eyes, I quickly fell into a deep sleep.
