"Um, Christina." I sniffle when she answers the phone.

"Aw, Chloe. What's wrong, babe?" she asks, concerned.

"I-I... Nash... he.. Can I come over?"

"Of course you can. I'm heading over to Cheyenne's house right now. You can come too." I try to hold in my sobs, but one slips out.

"Be there soon," I choke out.

"Be careful," Christina rushes just before I hang up the phone.

When I arrive at Christina's house, she's outside waiting for me. "We're walking. Is that okay with you?" I nod and wipe my nose on my sleeve. We begin walking in the dimly lit street, and I stay close to my best friend. Soon, I make out two people in the distance. I'm kind of scared because I don't know if it's Cheyenne with someone or not. One of the people turn around then try to sprint away, but the other grabs their arm. Then they let go, and the person runs away successfully. The person makes their way towards us, and finally, I can stop being scared. It's Cheyenne. She smiles at us.

"How about we go to Christina's house instead of mine?" she suggests.

"Who were you talking to?" Christina asks.

"Oh, uh no one. Some stranger." Christina and I look at her weirdly. "How about we go to Christina's?" Cheyenne says again.

"Nah, my parents are home. Let's just go to yours," Christina states, and the both of us begin to walk in the direction of Cheyenne's house. She quickly jumps in front of us, and we stop.

"Let's go to the gas station up the street. We're gonna need some food for this sleep over."

"The gas station is a mile up the road."

"We need the exercise?" I look down to the ground and realize she doesn't have shoes on. She never does.

"You don't have on shoes." I sniffle and wipe my nose again. My nose is running, and I know my eyes are still red from crying.

"Fuck, let's go to my place." Cheyenne walks on the other side of Christina. "You're crying, what happened?" she asks.

"Nash," I start, but know I can't continue. I burst into sobs, and Christina rubs my back. When we get to Cheyenne's house, the door is unlocked so Christina starts bitching as always. I don't really pay attention to the words because I keep replaying the fight over and over in my head. We go up to the bedroom, and they ask me to talk about the fight. "Nash left the house today, um, and he forgot his phone. There was a text on it. A text from someone named Miah. It said 'are you still coming by to see me next weekend?'. I confronted him about it, and he said it was his cousin. That's the lamest excuse in the book!" I explain. "Then it blew up into this huge fight about how I need to trust him and not just assume things. I don't know. I'm just done." I end up crying until we all fall asleep.

I wake up, and my mouth is dry. I sit up in the bed and rub my eyes. I look around the room and find that Cheyenne isn't here. I go downstairs to see if she's down there and to get a drink. I hear footsteps behind me on the stairs and turn my head to find Christina. "You scared the shit out of me!" I whisper-scream. She giggles quietly.

"Sorry. I heard you get up and came to see what you were doing. Plus I had to go to the bathroom." I keep going down the stairs and into the kitchen. I get a cup and fill it with water. I gulp the whole thing down and put the glass in the sink. I hear muffled voices in the living room so we go in. The sight in front of me is not something I wanted to see right now. I'm stood still, gaping at one of my best friends clinging to my boyfriend and whispering in his ear. Her legs are wrapped around his waist and arms around his neck. His hands are placed firmly on her hips, and he's bending down to place her on the couch. I cover my mouth before I can scream or say anything to him or her. I feel Christina pull me towards the stairs and back to Cheyenne's room. There, I cry. I cry and cry and cry like there is no tomorrow.
