Chapter 07
Best Enemy

SPIDERMAN's night duty is pretty much understanable. The whole city know they should hiding while sirens and Spiderman are on the road. So is tonight. Peter hates should lie to Aunt May about him went up early to his room because tired already. But, well...in Spiderman business May is outside to him. Because everytime he wears the costume, Peter feels his Dad and Uncle Ben in it.

The thought of the last night with alive-Gwen haunted Peter as he's swinging to the crime scene. Oscorp. When he passed the Clock Tower, Peter cannot help himself to turn around a bit. Just a bit, before the swing's continue.

Because of their tardy, all police arrived just now and surrounded Oscorp with their car, while SWAT trying to get in and find Harry.

But apparently Peter has separate ways from SWAT. He goes down while the team going up this building. Well, 108 floors of innovation clearly make them work out.

Peter is searching him in 'his usual floor'. Special Project floor—what else? With turning off security system, Peter could get in there. He's assuming Harry changed into Green Goblin in here, so, he should be back to here too.

The eight of metal doors are open as he got in. Now, he could see six military suit ahead him—minus Goblin suit and Rhino.

Walks towards them, his eyes searching for the same person. But after a while, seems Harry is not here.

Or, Peter just didn't realize—until a familiar voice cut his walk to the elevator. "Peter Parker..."

Peter tilts up, found Harry standing beside his suit room. He is smirking to Peter. "Finally Spiderman is back. How's that—for losing your...hope? Hm? Is that hurt?"

Huh. If he doesn't remember Harry was his best friend, Peter swore he never let Harry alive. But Harry seems doesn't see that thought. His Green Goblin mind keeping a state of Peter as best enemy ever. But obviously, with probability of being killed, Peter cannot let his angry mind to destroy Harry into pieces. Different with Green Goblin, Spiderman obviously still has a heart.

Peter approaches Harry, carefully gesturing his friendly personality to him. "Harry, that's enough. What are you doing here?"

Massive grin appears on Harry's face. Massive grin of Goblin. He glances other way than Peter, "Who's Harry?"

But before Peter can reply anything, Harry attacks him. Quickly Pete shots his web to the ceiling. "Harry!"

"Don't ever call that name again!" Harry snarled, approaching Peter with a poisoned knife.

Quick, Peter moves again to the ground. But Harry's jet stopping him by its other knife. One cut on arm. Now Peter obviously has to fight back. He shoot web to Harry's eyes, waist, and hands. But unfortunately he could get away.

Just like copying a scene on the Clock Tower, Harry strangled him, but Peter quickly shot his web back to the hand and taped it to the one room of military suit. For a moment, Harry cannot move because of the thickness of Peter's web. But that's just for a moment.

Harry, please!

Harry attacked him again, with his famous weapon. Pumpkin bomb thrown. Peter couldn't dodge real fast, so he's thrown to the corner of the room. "Ugh! Damn it.." If Harry could see it, Peter's eyes is begging now. Not the sign of surrender. But because he cannot let his evil side dominate. If he wants, he could killed him.

Nothing Harry's do except walking towards Peter without his jet, smirking just like his heart is gone. He lifted up Peter, and do something—same as what Lizard ever did to Peter: break his web shooters.

Peter do nothing but screaming. It only took five seconds for Harry to satisfy his revenge, for now. He dropped Peter who had lost his web shooters, then just stood there watching his best enemy.

Peter gasped in pain, but he gets up. Shooking his head, he's bit confuse Harry doesn't attack him again. But soon, he knows the reason—after Harry just turned around and got back to his jet.

"Prepare yourself. Maybe soon, you will lose many more precious hope than Gwen Stacy."
