Personal Proposal

For one second, Gwen cant thinking straight. She stunned, staring at Peter like she has no idea what he's talking about.

Marry me, Gwen.

Those words' hanging on her mind, she hesitates with the reply.

Peter mumbles, looking down to his feet. "I know that too soon."

"N-no.. Im just--" Gwen sighed, changing the topic from 'what her feeling' to 'asking his reason'.

Her face coming back to tough, to the usual Gwen. "...Why now?" asked her, crossing her finger showing considering something.

Peter chuckled, now he's thinking Gwen wanted that since ages ago. "So, you want this earlier?"

"No-" Wait..?

Gwen hurried changing her reply. "...i mean, you without all those problem.. Then you asked me this."

Ah..

Peter smiling as he realized she still thoughtful at last. "Simpler reason? I love you."

"Detail reason?"

"I love you." he told her, quietly.

Gwen rolled her eyes, continue eats her lunch. "Im serious, Peter.."

Now, Peter sighed, watching her. "And..."

"And?"

"Im afraid, of losing you and myself..." Peter then looked down, couldnt see those green eyes for few seconds. "The last one was really testing me."

Gwen, learnt from his late dad, just nod, then cupped his cheek gently. "Losing someone's never easy."

"Yea..."

Theyre in silence for like a moment. After they finished their lunch and Gwen came back clutching his arm, discussion continue.

"So... Do you want to answer that  now?" As pull his back to the end of the bed, Peter asked, trying relaxing himself.

Just few minutes back, he's feeling stupid with the personal proposal. Is it too early? Is it too soon? Will she accept me? That's what he's thinking.

"You want it now?"

Gwen. Peter frowned, feeling ridicolus to her question. "Im asking you."

"Well.." Gwen tighten her grip to his arm, placing her head onto his shoulder. "...I know marriage will never be the easy thing. And youre in the middle of crisis too. So..."

Peter laughed slightly to the reference. Middle of crisis, to define 'Spiderman is hauted by three supervillains.'

"Well said." he commented, smiling.

"You brought the ring?" Gwen finally decided, then looked at Peter to find her personal peace.

This time, Peter stunned. He blinked to the question for a moment, has no word for it like Gwen was.

But soon enough, he replied her words by, "Maybe we should visit jewerely store after this."

Gwen grinned, "No, you cant."

Peter chuckles, shook head for that nonsense answer. "You asked for the ring, Stubborn."

"I didnt mean 'gold ring' or something, Mr. Impatient."

Gosh... Knew what she's talking about, Peter feels warmer. He's got an idea as he saw his web shooter near them. He took it and make one ring.

"Here for you, Ms. Stacy." Just fast, Peter gave the ring. His web designing skill gone better on this thing.

"Oh, thank you, Mr. Parker." Gwen received, smiling widely while Peter put the ring on her finger.

They gripping each other finger, tighten it like never let it go. They grinning widely, and more to Gwen because after that Peter gave her a kiss.

"Thank you.." said him, happily.

But then, the room changed into the serious tense again as Gwen called him as a reply, "Peter.."

"H-hm??"

"You should promise me."

"Yeah?"

"Never let me go again."

"Never."

And then, their afternoon continues to the lovely one. Theyre kissing, talking, and make many resolution for this new phase on their relationship.

This noon, Peter got better faster, so is Gwen.

But in her mind, she's thinking about something bigger than this personal proposal.
