The Dinner (Part 2)
MJ just stunned to that. Once again, Peter makes her has no words for him. The silence soon turned to awkward.
MJ clears her throat while Pete begins to confront her with, "Am i right?" He asked with eyebrow risen.
Neither nood or shook, MJ just looking down to her food and starts again with, "If youre right?"
"Then i wanna know the guy."
Shoot. She cant clear her thought for a second. MJ continues to eat her food and let the silence blanking them again.
"Then no." Finally Peter stated the answer for himself, then emptying his water. "If no, then what's that about? You know, i barely home around you or Gwen. It seems...you guys have fun time to each other. I just- you know... Maybe it's great to come in to the same topic."
"Yeah, that's great. We will accept you for no reason, but..."
"But what?"
Damn it, this guy...
MJ couldnt help but cursing herself from be open about this to Peter.
Relax. It wouldnt hurt you, MJ.
The last gaze to Peter's brown doe eyes is impress-gaze. MJ soon finished her food then look back to Peter.
Moment later, she kissed him.
"What if the guy is you?"
Apparently, Gwen saw that beyond restaurant's window. She gasped, eyes widen, but not let out a scream. Gwen just stood there and let MJ finished his business to Peter.
While later, after she's gone, Gwen walks towards Peter.
"Hi." She greeted first.
Peter looked up, let Gwen sits down in front of him. "Hey."
Gwen swore to herself, she want to throw her chair as she saw MJ's chair. But she keep his focus, then asks,
"So...we're goin?"
"N-no."
Why did he stutter? Gwen frowns, "No?"
Slowly, Peter looked up to her, guilty. "I know you saw that. Why keep pretend youre not?"
Gwen almost pat her head if she doesnt remember he has spider sense to sense her presence. Replies that, finally she just grabs his hand and rub it.
"You afraid im- somehow- jealous of her?"
Peter only nods.
Gwen chuckles, knowing he's still good guy. So, commenting the 'nod', she makes herself relax. "That's up to you, it's MJ or me."
"Hey! Dont talk like that." Peter curved his lips, little embarrased.
"But seriously. It's up to you-- want to have partner in spiderman duties, or trapped in awkward discussion with MJ because she doesnt understand science."
That clear-answer make Peter laugh instantly. He shook his head, then stares Gwen in adore. "Yeah, right. That's explain so much to me that i cant live without you."
Those sweet words are reply by massive grin from Gwen. She cant help but nods in smile, "Me too, Pete."
But Peter is still Peter. As the reply, he changing their whole mood into the serious one with say,
"So, let's stay longer in Queens."
"Why? We should go home." Gwen refused.
"This is our home."
Without let Gwen said another reply or refuse, Peter grabbed her hand to quiet place and shot his web.
Swinging time again.
They're going to another place.
