"Where is everyone else?" Luce asked, "I want to read a book."

"They're upstairs" I replied

"Get them downstairs," Sol said

Logan runs up to get them. Slowly everyone headed into the living room.

"So where are you and who is reading next?" Luce asked .

Solange's pov

"Can I?" Sol asked
" Of course" Mom answered

Everyone had sat down. Luce next to Nicky, which Lucy did not love but didn't hate. She sat far away from Nicholas as possible. I sat next to her. Sol sat opposite to Luce and Nicky.
Nicky had his laptop out not paying attention to anyone, except Luce.
Nicholas and the rest of the Drake boys sat together. Mom and Dad sat next to each other with Aunt Ruby, Uncle Godfrey and Aunt Hyacinth.

"Nicky put it down," Luce said to him giving a look I felt only them two understood. He finished what he was doing and shut the laptop, putting it down.

Sol started reading out loud.

Solange

I only woke up because I had a mouthful of mud and a lump of hard dirt as a pillow.

"I remember everything from that day" Sol reminisced, laughing.

"Me too," Luce and Nicky said together

"Cause you do, you were sucking each other's faces," Sol said rolling her eyes.
Luce stuck her tongue at Sol. Lucy made a face.

"So this all really happens," I ask.

"Yes" Sol replies,"EVERYTHING really happens"

Sol continues reading.

"Ow." I sat up, blinking blearily. "What the hell, you guys?"

"Shh," Connor hissed at me, his hand covering my mouth. "We're not alone." I could barely hear him, he was speaking so softly. I couldn't hear heartbeats or frightened porcupines or twigs snapping under combat boots, but I knew the rest of my brothers could. He drew a sun in the dirt at our feet. I could barely make out the shape in the moonlight falling through the branches. Not just vampires then.

Helios-Ra.

We all look at Lucy. She doesn't realize we're looking at her, her and Nicky are talking so quietly not even my brothers could hear. Nicky nudged Luce and raised his eye towards us.

"What, so what if I'm Helios-Ra. Sol's engaged to one." Luce argued

Wait I'm engaged.... to a Helios-Ra.

"The head of Helios-Ra" Luce continues
Nicky picks Luce up like she's a baby onto his a lap and says something.

Luce looks like she realised what she said.
"Sorry" she looks like a kid caught in a lie

"It's okay," Sol says, "I don't actually mind" she laughs.
I look at her finger and for the first time, I realize she has a ring on her engagement finger.

"Umm so who is it," I ask blushing, I feel my face heat up.

"Kieran Black" Sol smiles

I frown. Wait that Kieran the one that tried to kill me and hurt Lucy.

"WHAT," my brothers say in unison.
"He tried to kill you remember," Nicholas says
"I hate to agree with him but yeah," Lucy says.

Nicky who still has Luce sitting on his lap and has barely talked since he got here speaks in a deep voice."He's also the reason she still alive and hasn't died yet."
