Back to the Sanctuary

We had been in the sanctuary for over two weeks now. We were feeling much better but the doctor recommended that we still ought to rest. At least I got to eat ice-cream in those two weeks. I would say that there’s no better cure to a disease than ice cream. Of course that won’t always work if you have a sore throat, cold or you’re not allowed to have dairy products. I couldn’t imagine life without chocolate OR ice cream so I quickly shoved the thought way and slowly ate my double scooped chocolate sundae with the classic cherry on top. The doctor said that I was allowed to leave the sanctuary once my father would be better. I was fine with that because I wouldn’t want to disturb him while he got better.

A week had passed and every one was better and ready to travel back. I had told my father about the Smokies and how they helped me with everything. He was glad to see that they helped me and said that this time he wasn’t sure of how he could repay the favour. I told him that this time it didn’t matter on which we both agreed and let the topic end. The new ruler of The Treasure Island AND Fantamasia turned out to be Baldwood whose honesty and courage had won over the people from both sides. My father had lost his left leg but soon put an electric device on his leg which allowed him to walk.

I was eating an apple when I asked my father when we would go back home. ‘Soon’ was all he said and I hoped what he said was true.
