[UNEDITED]
I wake up, panting and sweating. Questions immediately being asked in my head. Was everything a dream? Did it really happen? Oh god. I'm so shaken up right now. But I just hope that everything was a dream. I don't think I'd be able to survive if it was real.
"Sam!" I try to call out his name but as soon as I did, an immense pain shot out to my throat. It hurt a lot. What happened yesterday?
I stood up from my bed and walked downstairs to find Harry in my mum's red apron cooking...pancakes?
And then it hit me. The accident, the divorce papers, Harry singing me to sleep last night.
I didn't know I was crying until a sob escape my lips causing Harry to turn around.
"Kylie.." He gasped as he ran to hug me. "Everything will be okay." He tries to assure me.
"How do you know that Harry?" I question him.
"I just do."
And with that, we fell in silence. Only my sobs filled the kitchen but I don't care right now. I'm just so broken at the moment. Especially about my parents. I don't know if I should be mad and not talk to them or try to hear their explanation. I just don't know anymore!
"Erm, Kylie?" Harry breaks the silence. "I think we need to stand up. The pancakes are close to burning." He tries to joke and I gave him a small smile.
I made my way to the dining table while Harry went to put the pancakes on our plate then making his way here too.
"Have you called your parents?" Harry asked, taking a bite from his pancake. I've got to admit, he's really good at cooking these kinds of stuff. But just by hearing the word 'parents' makes my blood boil. It's their fault. Everything is. I can't believe they would hide something like that from us.
"Not yet." I hesitantly replied.
"Kylie," Harry sighed. "You should call them. They're still your parents."
"I know," I sighed. "I can give them a call now while I'm still...stable." I slightly chuckled.
"Well, I think you should." He agrees. He stood up to go upstairs while I sit here waiting for him.
Minutes later, he came back with his phone in his hands. He handed his phone to me and said, "Here. I checked your phone credit and there's none left."
I take his phone and dialed my mum's number, since she's usually the one who answers my calls.
After 3 to 5 rings, she finally picked up.
"Honey, what's wrong? Can't you call later? I'm sort of in a meeting right now." She says in an urgent voice.
"It's important mum." I answer her.
"It better be. Because I'm about to move my meetings into the next hour. Now what happened?"
"Mum, I think you need to call dad too and you both should leave work even just for today. If that's okay for both of you, of course. It's really important and I can't just tell you through a phone call." I explained to my mum.
I hear her sigh but said, "Fine. I will try. But I'm serious, Kylie. This better be important." Then she hung up.
"More important than you'll ever imagine..." I mutter to myself.
I stood up and put mine and Harry's dishes on the sink and start to look for him.
"Harry?" I call and no answer came. I decided to go outside and once I did, he wasn't there too.
