* hi so i did a bad thing and changed isabella's character to Madison beer because well .. i can and i fucking love her. stay safe, miss u, love u, enjoy !*

"Good of you to join us," Polly commented after Ada appeared, the clock now reading midday. After her mornings conversation with Tommy, Polly remained in the same seat reading through old discarded newspapers hoping time would hurry. Isabella had joined her at around eight, after checking in on her daughter to find Tommy curled up with her asleep.

She couldn't be that mad, she supposed.

"Where have you been all day?" Isabella asked, sipping her tea.

"In bed," Ada replied. "Couldn't sleep, then I couldn't wake up. Then I was cold and then I had to go for a wee. Then I was with this bear on a boat, that was just a dream. Then I was hungry," she listed, all the while cutting some bread and spreading some jam. "Why are you reading the paper?"

"Why wouldn't I be?" Polly asked.

"To be fair," Isabella spoke, "I don't think I've ever seen you read one."

"Only ever seen you light fires with them," Ada added, eating her breakfast.

Ignoring the taunting from the two girls, Polly continued reading her newspaper. "The BSA are on strike, minors are on strike. IRA are killing our boys, ten a day," Polly stated, staring at Ada who had bread shoved in her mouth.

"What?"

"Ada," Isabella sighed, knowing exactly where this was going, having been on the receiving end of Polly's witch ways with her own two pregnanices.

"Stand up," Polly ordered.

"Why?"

"Just stand up," Polly said more stern, Ada rising to her feet. "Side on."

Doing as she was told, Ada jumped when Polly cupped Ada's left breast. "Oi! What are you doing?"

"Ada," Polly warned. "How late are you?"

"Jesus Christ," Isabella sighed and earned a small slap to the side of the head for using blasphemy in Polly's household.

"One week," Ada admitted, but gave in when she met Bella's glare. "Five weeks... seven if you count weekends. I think it's a lack of iron. I got some tablets."

"But they didn't work?" Isabella pondered.

"No," Ada sighed.

"Come with me to the hospital today, I'll get you checked. No one will know a thing."

"You're working today?" Polly asked.

"Why wouldn't I be?"

"I don't know," Polly shrugged. "Just seems like you've been working a lot recently, more than usual."

"What the fuck is this about, Polly? Has Tommy said something?"

Polly sighed at Isabella's outburst. "No, love. I'm just worried you're burning yourself out. Besides, you don't need to work anymore. We have a lot of money coming in."
