Today Iris and I decided to go on land and meet up with Ryan. I decided to bring something important to show both Ryan and Iris that I found while researching why Iris and I can come on land.

Once our tails dried off we walked on shore for a bit till we spotted Ryan and he waved us over. We saw two girls and one boy with him.

"Hey Ryan" Iris says

"Hey Iris, Jamelia I would like you to meet Carina, Julia, and you've met Danny before right?" He says. I look over at the other boy and rememeber.

"Yeah wasn't he the other boy with you when we first met you?" I ask. I see Iris trying to hide a smirk. A little bit after we went back to the ocean and I told Iris I found the other boy cute and she hasn't stopped pestering me about it since.

Ryan nods then says "Well we were planning to go to the fair today..."

"It's alright if you have plans we were going to walk around the mall anyways and you don't have to come with." I say before Iris says something like 'oh we'll gladly join' because I can feel that Danny is a little jealous and upset, but once I say that he perks up a bit.

"Well it was nice to meet you" Iris and I say at the same time as we're walking away but then two figures started to join us. Carina and Julia.

"Oh hey" I say not knowing what else to say.

"Hi is it okay that we join you for the mall?" Julia asks

"Of course" Iris says.

On our way to the mall we started chatting about random things then somehow the topic of mermaids came up.

"So what do you guys think of mermaids?" Carina asked and I saw Julia give her a look.

"Umm I think that mermaids are fascinating even if they're non-existenet" I say as calm as I can but probably too calm.

"Same" Iris says to prevent them from finding out anything.

"That's interesting" Julia says. I can sense two feelings from her, confusion and nervous. I wonder why she's so nervous. Then I notice something weird I can sense four feeling and I know that I can't feel mine with my power. Somebody must be following us since ther's no one else around.

"Someone's following us" I whisper to Iris. She subtly nods.

"So how did you guys meet Ryan?" Carina asks.

Iris and I smile at that memory. "Oh the wonderful day" I exaggerate.

Iris laughs. "Yeah it was a fun day not a wonderful day." With that we tell the story of how we met Rysn snd how we still stayed in contact. Of course leaving out the fact he found out we're mermaids.

"Cool" Carina says after the story is over. We arrive at the mall shortly after.

(2 hours later)

After looking at all the shops Iry and I had to go. When we got back we ran into Chris, aka my adopted older brother.

"Hey Chris" Iry says

"Hi Iry" He says and I can tell that there's more. "So Jamelia can I go and you know" I do know he wants to go and have a 'chat' with Kevin. Only reason he's asking me is because I don't support him interferring with my love life unless I want him to.

"Hmmm how about no." I say

"Fine but if he bothers you, you know where to go." With that he swims off probably to go hang out with John his closest friend.

"Iry I have something important to show you." I tell her once Chris is gone.

"Okay" We head to my house and I go grab the book from my room.

"So you know how we're the only mermaids who can go on water." I start once I come back

"Yeah what about it?" Iris asks.

"Well apperently there's a legend that goes with it"

I turn to the page with the legend on it. I see Iry read it.

To the old kings ailment, a new ruler shall rise.

Then four shall be born, but with one compromise.

Two from the walking and two from the sea,

they may explore their worlds, interchangeably.

Yet they share a power, only he can control.

But once they have reached their 13th year,

a darkness shall reign, bringing terror and fear.

They shall challenge the evil,

and fight for their land.

But in the end, only one will stand.

"Whoa" Iry says once she finished.

"I know so that means there's two humans out there just like us. Oh also I found this as well."

I turn to the page where it talks about this 'evil'. It shows the symbol that everyone inside of this group would have. (pic on the side)

"Wait don't Kevin and Katie have the same mark?" Katie is Kevin's sister.

"Yep and I knew about this before we broke up so I was planning to break up anyway". I say

So not the best way to end a chapter but eh

So what do you think and technically you did learn more about Kevin in this chapter sorry that I didn't put any action in
