Our First Day of Mermaid Princess School

After convincing Julia and Carina's parents to let them come to the mermaids school that the king is providing for us, we set out to have an eventful two days before the school actually started. First Iris and I got them settled into their rooms then we went swimming with dolphins which was awesome. That night I found out that Julia loves to design and make her own clothes and Carina loves music and art.

So today when I was woken up I was woken up by a trumpet in my ear, literally. Apparently Carina and Iris thought it would be a good idea to wake Julia and me by trumpets. After plotting our revenge Julia and I got dressed for the day which is our very first day of princess school.

"Hey what took you guys so long?" Carina asks narrowing her eyes at us.

We shrugged not knowing how to answer her without revealing our plan.

"Okay then" She says keeping her eyes on us, "so can someone tell me why I ran into John earlier?"

"Wait John's here?" Julia asks, sounding a bit nervous.

I raise my eyebrow at her comment. "Why do you sound nervous?" I question her.

"I don't know, but why is he here?"

"His mom's our teacher." Iris responds.

"I didn't know his mom's a teacher."

"Yep, one of the best" I say.

"Interesting."

"Well who's ready for breakfast?" Iris asks stopping in front of the dining room.

"Meeeeeeeeee!!!" Carina exclaims.

We all laugh as we swim into the dining room to get some food. I grab a kelp bar, some seaberries, and a kelp juice bottle.

I sit down at the table they set up for us to eat.

"Not that hungry?" Julia asks.

"I guess. What about you?" I respond.

"I'm still getting used to the food here, but it's not that bad."

"Carina seems to have taken a liking" I say as I watch her wait for a pattie, our version of a pancake.

Julia shrugs, "She's used to trying new things."

"Can I ask you something?" I ask Julia.

"Sure."

"Do you like John?" Almost instantly her face heats up.

"Noooooo"

"You're lying" Carina says as she and Iris sit down at the table. "I may not know what you're talking about but I know you're lying"

"No I'm not"

"Really?" Carina asks staring at Julia with a knowing stare.

"Fine I do like him"

"I knew it!" I exclaim.

"Okay now that that's out of the way, what's mermaids school like?" Julia says trying to change the subject.

"Well basically normal school but we have a few different classes."  Iris explains

"Like what?"

"Well there's Magic Class, Navigation, and Mermaid history are the basics and usually you can choose the others you want to do."

"So what are the others you can choose?"

"Um I'm not positive on all of them, but there's Beauty 101, Defence Against the Dark Arts, Singing Class, and Mermaid Science."

"Cool, so we can choose the classes we want to do?" Julia asks.

"Yeah pretty much"

Right now we're in our 'classroom' getting ready for magic class which is one of my favorites when Mrs. Collins walks in.

"Hi my name is Mrs. Collins I know that there's only four of you but I definitely know that it's going to be fun. First we're just going to do some simple spells and then discuss how our emotions affect our powers(1)"

And so our first day of Mermaid Princess School begins.

Yeah not my best chapter but this was just a filler. So interesting story line next chapter will be another filler then it's time for the Coronation, which sadly might be the last chapter but unless I decide to have a chapter with a party after the Coronation.

I probably won't be able to update till February 2.

(1) This will be important in one of the later books in the series.
