It's Coronation Day

Iris p.o.v

Today's the day of the coronation and I'm so happy. We decided that it's going to be half on land and half in the ocean.

This morning when I woke up I didn't realize what today was, so when I saw a bunch of random people in my room I freaked out. It took me a minute to remember that today was our coronation. After I calmed down I got changed into an aqua sea silk dress with straps and got my hair in a ponytail with curls(1).

I swam out of my room only to run into Jamelia. She was wearing a seafoam green sea silk dress with one strap and her hair was similar to mine but it started with two braids at the front.

"You look amazing." We both say at the same time.

"Thank you." We say again in unison.

"So are you excited?" Jamelia asks.

"Yeah I mean we're actually becoming princesses."

"Yeah that's pretty exciting."

"Did Julia and Carina leave already?" I ask.

"I think so."

I nod my head in understanding. "You wanna find out who your escort is for today?" Jamelia asks me.

"Sure, but who's yours?" I ask her.

"My brother"

"Interesting, well let's go find out who's escorting me."

As Jamelia and I start looking for someone who knows everything about today we run into John and Chris.

"Hello ladies, may I ask what you're doing?" Chris asks.

"Looking for someone to tell us who my escort is." I say.

"Well that would be yours truly." John says.

"You're my escort?"

"Yep. Which reminds me shouldn't we be escorting you to the carriage right about now?" John asks.

"You're right." Both boys hold out their hands which we take eagerly and start swimming outside of the castle.

We swim towards a carriage lined with a gold trim decorated with dolphins.

"That's beautiful" I say.

"You got that right." Jamelia says.

"C'mon we have to get you to your coronation."

We get in the carriage and it sets off towards the island where everyone is going to be.

When we arrived John and Chris told us to stay in the carriage because we were early.

(At the same time Jamelia and Iris are getting ready)

Carina p.o.v

Julia was finishing up my hair since we had to get ready pretty much by ourselves. Granted we had Chassity, Aria, and Violet to help us. Aria and Violet are two girls we met while exploring the island. Julia's hair was already done with a loose braid on the side of her head.

"And done." I looked at myself in the mirror.

"I love it." My hair was put into a braid with little braids making up it up.

"Really I mean some of it is a little off-"

I cut her off saying "I really really love it."

"Thanks"

"No problem. Now let's go get our dresses on." I say a little giddy.

I grab my dress which is a pink dress where in the front it stops at the knees and continues down in the back. (All the dresses are a different color and have a slightly different design) It's also a semi strapless dress.

Julia's is a purple dress but her being her had to have hers strapless.

When we go outside, to head to the horse drawn carriage to head to the beach, we get blinded by a camera flash.

"You girls look beautiful" My mom says holding a camera.

"Thanks mom, but we've gotta go. See ya later."

"Bye girls. Good luck."

With that we get in the carriage that was waiting outside the door of the hut we're staying in. About five minutes later we arrive at the beach. We step out of the carriage only to be greeted by the boys we know and love.

"May I assist you?" Danny asks me while Ryan does the same with Julia. I take note that both boys are wearing tuxedos.

"Sure" I say grabbing the hand that he held for me. I get out of the carriage and walk along with Danny while Julia follows with Ryan.

Soon we see a little building that looks like a chapel. On the outside you can see that there's a part of it underwater.

When we reach the building Ryan goes inside leaving us with Danny.

"So you girls excited?" he asks us.

"Yeah" Julia and I say at the same time.

"So how's life?"

"Good considering today we're going to be princess. What about you?" Julia asks Danny.

"Not so good." He responds.

"Why?" I ask

"My parents practically hate me."

"Why would they hate you?" Julia asks him.

"Well they don't like the fact that I'm dating Jamelia because for some reason they don't like mermaids."

"Does Jamelia know about this?"

"No and neither of you will tell her."

"Got it" We agree. Right after we do Ryan sticks his head out the door.

"We're ready."

"C'mon girls" Danny says following Ryan. We go in right after them.

Soon I heard some music and we reached an open door where everyone is standing. Ryan gives his arm to Julia and Danny does the same for me.

We walk in heading towards the stage set up at the front of the chapel. Jamelia and Iris are in their mermaid form at the front in dresses very similar to ours. When we reach the stage we stand to the left of Jamelia and Iris. About thirty seconds later the King emerges from the water.

The music ends and King Aaron starts the ceremony. "I welcome everyone here, from both the mermaid world and human world. We are here today to witness the crowning of these four girls. They have shown bravery by protecting our world from darkness. They believe in what their hearts tell them and that is what will make them exceptional leaders. I now crown Iris Alcott, Jamelia Kamela, Carina Pepca, and Julia Vena mermaid princess."

A few guys come and give us our tiara. The tiaras have a metal wire between them with some pearls and shells on it.

"Thank you for coming you are all dismissed." King Aaron says but all I'm thinking is it's all over and I'm a princess.

Sorry this is a late update but I guess I lost track of time and procrastinated. I know that you thought there was going to be another chapter but I decided if I finished this early I can work on my other books and start the next book.

On that note who's ready for book two The 4 Tails: Love. I'm so excited to start writing it. Here's the summary:

It's a few months after everything happened and all the girls but Carina have a boyfriend. When a mysterious new guy comes along he steals Carina's heart. Soon a new evil rises and Jamelia, Iris, and Julia go missing and it's up to Carina to find them. But will she uncover new feelings for someone along the way?
