20:00pm
At Mulder's house

It was a dark evening, the sky would of normally be dark in America but for some reason they were filled with such beautiful colours. Green and Blue wavy lines slowly wriggled across the sky. Everyone was either out watching them or staying indoors and seeing them from there windows.

Not Mulder, no Fox Mulder was standing outside looking through a telescope. He was finding it a bit hard to believe that the Northern Lights were in America.

"So Mulder, do you think it's an message from the extraterrestrial's?" Scully teased.

Walking out onto the porch with two mugs of hot cocoa, both filled with marshmallows.

"Scully, you know I would like to believe that tonight, but don't you think that's a bit extreme. Even for you?" Mulder asked.

Looking away from the telescope to face her. He took the mug of cocoa and slowly sipped it. Scully went to sit in swinging bench, she looked up towards the sky. Scully also found it strange to see them in America, unlike Mulder who thought it was from Aliens she knew the true cause behind the northern lights.

Meanwhile at some lake near the outskirts of Washington D.C
Many of the people who lived there went to the local lake to get a better views on the northern lights. Some local fishermen were sitting on the wooden platform that went out a couple of feet from the land. Over looking the beautiful lake that was surrounded by tall sturdy Norway spruces and well as other types of trees.

"Lovely evening, ain't it Mike?" Asked the Fisherman who was sitting on the platform with his legs dangling over the edge.

"Sure thing Paul, the best part of it is the reflection you can see in the pool." Replied Mike, who was sitting on a foldable chair near Paul.

There were other families there as well, but there where standing on the land, since they had kids and the wooden platform didn't have any railing of some sort.

Whilst the people were out enjoying the peaceful moment, little did they now that was about to change. Suddenly there was a loud screeching noise, the locals covered their eyes, some of the children began to scream. They couldn't see where the noise was coming from, until Paul pointed it out.

"Look, up there!" He shouted.

It was too far away to see, all they could see was that it was a great light blue creature with wings.

"It's heading straight for us!" Mike shouted. "Everyone scram!"

The families all ran to there cars and drive off, leaving the fishermen behind on the platform.

"Paul get up!" Mike demanded.

"But what is it?" He asked.

"We don't have time for th-" Mike had to jump out of the way, as the creature swooped down straight at Paul.

Mike covered his head with his hands, hoping it took no interest in him. The creature screeched again before swooping off into the dark spruce forest. The fisherman got up to see his friend was still there but laying really floppy.

"Paul? Paul? Paul?!" He said running towards his friend.

"Mike?" He weakly said. "I c-can't feel...my body." He struggled to say.

"What?" Mike asked, but it was too late Paul had already passed out.

What in the world was that creature?
