Jessie's POV

"I don't know and I hope we make her life happier. Let's just hope that we don't fuck up somehow." Luke said back as he noticed me walking towards them he gave me a smile. "How are you doing kiddo?"

"Fine?" I asked giving him a weird look as I hid my finger from them and shrugged.Listening to part of their conversation really hurt me. Did they just adopt me because they needed some charity shit? I knew this wasn't good anyway.

"That's good. Hope you and Calum have a fun time." Luke nodded as Calum grabbed keys and slid his vans on. He turns towards me and smile.

"Ready?" He asked quietly. All the voice seem to lower their voice when they talk to me.

I took a deep breath and nodded. I forced a small smile and scratched my bicep as I started towards the door. I felt a soft hand grab my hand and move it from my arm. I held in a groan and let my hand dangle to my side. I looked back at Luke who gave me a confused look.

Luke just shrugged before Haylee came up and wrapped her arms around his waist.

"We will be back don't eat all the pizza," Calum yelled as he open to door.

I quickly escaped the hotel room and started walking towards the elevator.

"Who your favorite artist in the music industry?" Calum asked as he walked next to me. He leaned forward and pushed the elevator button.

I just shrugged and picked at the bandages on my finger.

"Okay, who do you all listen to?" He asked as the door open and we both step. I watched as he pushes lobby and doors closed.

"Black Veil Brides, Pierce The Veil, All Time Low..." I shrugged again. I didn't actually care about music I just was always listening to it.

"They good. How much do you know about us?" He asked lean against the wall of the elevator.

I rolled my eyes and turned towards him. "An ass ton. All the stupid teenage girls were obsessed with you and claimed one day they'd get chosen and I'd be left all alone and would still be the same emo I was when I was five. So I had to sit and listen to all of them talk about how you're a naked mole rat and shit like that." I said simply

"Okay." He said chewing on the inside of his cheek and his face was slightly red now.

I chuckled slightly and turned back to the door as it opened. "That was your dumbass fault." I shook my head stepping out.

"Yeah I know and I regret it." He said calmly as he followed me to the lobby doors.

"Do you?" I turned towards him and tilted my head.

"No." He said laughing a little. He smiles and I noticed he has dimples. He walked in front of me leading me to a black BMW. He opens the passenger door for me and gestured for me to get in.

I took a deep breath and hopped into the clean car. I jumped a little as he shut the door.

He then ran around the car and got into the driver seat before making the car come to life. He pulled out of the parking space and stopped and put music on and handed me his phone and auxiliary cord.

I looked down at it confused before looking back up at him.

"Plug it in and pick a song. The password is 4, 3, 2, 1." He said laughing a little as he drove towards the busy Sydney highway.

I rolled my eyes at him and picked a random song in his Spotify and cringed when it was a one direction song. I quickly changed it before finding what seemed like his personal playlist. I shrugged and put it on shuffle. I sat his phone down carefully as I heard a scream from outside the window. The scream caused me to jump and scream as well.

Calum groaned and muttered and sorry as he looked at the fans then sped off. I just looked at him then at the fading girls like they were crazy.

"You couldn't find a normal girl who wouldn't care about that?" I snapped quietly

"Nope." He said giving me a small smile. Once we finally got on the highway the traffic was so bad. It was bumper to bumper traffics. Calum had his hands in his lap as he would lightly push on the gas pedal when the cars move a little bit. We've been in the car about half an hour and haven't gotten very far.He looked over at me as he tapped the beat of the song on his lap. I think the silence between us was killing him.

"What's wrong with you?" I asked confused. I had a bit of amusement on my face.

"Just bored." He said shrugging.

"Well, what do you wanna know?" I asked softly. I knew if I was gonna tell him anything he'd just send me back like all the other families did

"How many times have you been adopted?" He asked quietly looking at the road and moving a car forward a little before looking back at me.

"Twenty," I said softly. "You're my twenty-first."

"Ahh, that's a lot. What's your story?" He asked as he put his hands on the steering wheel and tapped his thumbs to the beat. Doesn't even seem like he realized he doing that.

"That's something that comes over time.." I whispered not ready to open up that far just yet. They usually find out over time and send me back.

"Alright understandable. Why do you think the other people sent you back?" He asked looking at me then at the road.

"Because I'm a fucked up kid they absolutely hate. Either that or they get tired and move to a next target." I whispered remembering some of the stuff the guys would do to me in almost

He just hummed and his lips made into a thin line. When he looked at me I could catch the hint of anger in his eyes but I couldn't read the rest of his emotion.

"Sorry.." I whispered making myself small in the chair. The car smelled strongly of Axe and cigarettes. The windows were slightly tinted from the inside and made outside look darker than it really was. The traffic moved slowly as the music played. I wished it'll just hurry up and never happen again. I hated all the silence and shitty music. I looked down at the baggage I was picking at, it had a little bit of blood poking through. I gave my finger a dirty look for bleeding and fucking up. I hate my finger. Honks slowly filled the air around us trying to get us to move. But dumbass people don't understand if the person in front of us can't move, neither can we.
