Introduction

Meet the characters;
Gina Down- Born December 15, 1999. Gina is about 5'7 with long brown, wavy hair. She has green eyes and is always smiling. She lives in New Jersey with her parents, and is living the "teenage dream". Most of the story will be read in her point of view. Gina is in her senior year of high school, living it up to the fullest. She is a You-tuber posting everything from vlogs to tutorials.
Emerson Dean- Also born December 15, 1999. Emerson is 5'6 with long blonde hair and blue-grey eyes. Emerson is a very positive person, she has no reason to be negative with receiving nothing but blessings her whole life; remembering to count them. She lives in New Jersey, next door to Emerson, with her parents. Emerson is also in her senior year of high school. She too is a you-tuber, just having fun with it.
Grayson Dolan- Y'all most likely know who he is; if not then well.... I don't even know.
Ethan Dolan- Once again y'all most likely know who he is; if not then well.... I don't even know.

Okay now the awkward part is done, lets get to it

    - Gina's POV-
    Today is December 1, making it fourteen days until Em and I's birthday. We already have so much planned out. We have already been through so much, after all our parents have been best friends sense high school and we live next door to each other. I said to myself quietly while getting ready for school. I walk downstairs to find Emerson chatting away with my parents. "Good morning." I say grabbing a piece of toast and my car keys, it was my turn to drive. I head out the door saying "see you later, love you" to my parents signaling for Emerson to start walking. "Fourteen days until we turn eighteen, legal adults!" Emerson said. "Yeah, eighteen years with this crazy girl" I chuckle to myself.
    The car ride was short but we took turns with he aux cord, playing our favorite jams. Once we got to school I went to my locker to grab my books; then meeting up with Emerson on our way to first period. Em and I have all of our classes together and always end up talking instead of learning. We are good students trust me, we make honors and pass our tests, there is just so much to talk about and so little time to talk about it.
-Skip to lunch-
    Em and I grab our lunch bags and go find the rest of our friends. Once we sat down Reece, Kyla, and Maggie were in a deep convo at one end and at the other Mason, Isaiah, and Brandon were also talking. Em and I just sat there talking to each other not wanting to cause attention to ourselves. Finally Brandon acknowledges our presence and everyone starts talking as one big group. We talk about whatever comes to our minds until the bell rings. We all get up and get to fifth period.
- Skip to last period-
It is last period and we have five minutes left of class, so we got free time. Of course Emerson and I start talking, louder than usual.
"Gina are you sure we have enough money to stay there for a while? You did make the reservations right? Did you get your passport renewed?" Emerson said.
"Yes, yes, and yes. You need to chill Emerson. I know this is exciting and all but you need to take it down a notch. We have plenty of time to prepare any loose ends."
"Okay. Sorry I'm just really excited and I want this to go as planned. This is our first trip out of the country together for more than a week and we will be legal adults by then too. I just want it to be perfect." Em said.
"Everything will be alright, just trust me. We need this, you worry to much and this will be a great way for you to loosen up." After I finished that sentence the bell rang, indicating it was the weekend. Woohooo. We left school and went to my car. I drove home and Em and I went to my room. We thought it would be fun to film a video for our channels. We basically just talked to our fans, telling them about our birthdays coming up and what we have planned. Em came up with the idea that we should film everyday for the next fourteen days we have left of being children.

-Skip to December 6-

I am currently at school just scrolling through my phone because Emerson is out with the Flu. The day is going by so slow without my best friend, but I have other friends to talk to. I just don't have any friends in my history class except Em. Finally it was the end of a long a*s day and I could go to Em's house to check up on her. When I got there she was looking a lot better than she did this morning. I gave her her books to do her homework so she would not be far behind and she caught up fast.

-Skip to December 14-

"Our birthday is tomorrow!" Emerson said cheerfully throughout every class so far. Its only 6th period so we have two more classes then we can get out of school and do whatever.  The day went by super fast, faster than usual, but we didn't mind. As soon as school ended we went home and filmed our last video as 17 year olds. That was exciting. We did a bunch of crazy things like we did a few rounds of "hot or not; you-tuber edition" and exposing each others dirty secrets. By time we were done it was around 9 and we decided Em could just spend the night. "This is so exciting! I wonder what our fans will think. AHHHHHH. I get to see your hideous face first thing in the first morning as a legal adult." I gave her a death glare and went "You should feel bad for me, I have see yours.". We burst out in laughter. After that we got ready for bed and watched some good ole' cartoons until we fell asleep.
    We woke up to all of our parents in my bedroom taking our pictures, holding balloons, cards and some lil' treats to start our day. After the pictures we thanked everyone but toll them to get out because we needed to get ready for school. "Sometimes I wish they would let us just celebrate ourselves. Every year its always pictures, before we even get to try and look decent." Em said. "Em, its fine. Be grateful we still have them and they love us. They are doing this so when they grow old they can look back at these and remember how blessed they were to have us. And then we will inherit all of their things and feel blessed for how much they loved and cared about, it will make us driven to be the same for our children." I scolded her for her ungratefulness. She nodded and we decided to get ready for school, but first we scrolled through social media. We tried to thank as many people as possible for all the birthday wishes. I grabbed my camera and decided we were gonna vlog our day today.
    "Hey guys! We are currently on our way to school. As most of you know we turned 18 today. The two of us are gonna vlog our first day as adults." Em said turning the camera towards me. "Okay so we are now we are pulling up to Starbucks. Why are we pulling up to Starbucks? We are gonna be late. We can't be late. Gina come on we gotta go to school." Em annoyingly pestered me. "I thought I'd treat us to a coffee on our big day. Chill." I said pulling up the the drive through. " Two venti iced caramel macchiatos with extra caramel please." I pulled up and paid for both our drinks and rushed to school.
    We got there just in time to not be considered late. When we got there we were sung "Happy Birthday" multiple times. Finally the end of the day came quick enough. We were finally able to have a chill weekend and just relax. We just stayed in my room watching 'Glee' or 'Riverdale'. And that's pretty much what our lives consisted of until our big trip.
AN// This is my first book, so sorry for any errors. Just comment about them so I can fix them where necessary. I have big plans for this book and sorry for all the time jumps, I just really want to get this started. :)
