Stormy Nights

"I deserved that." He mumbled. Looking at the ground.

"Why would you keep this from me? I trusted you Jake, you know all of my secrets why wouldn't you tell me?" I cried walking closer to him.

"I didn't want to be seen as royal since my grandmother cut us off. We are disgraced by the family I didn't want to loose you by telling you who my family are." He softly stated.

"Jake you're my best friend you are never going to loose me. I love you more than you can ever know." I replied wrapping my arms around his neck. I looked up at him and looked into his eyes. I know it might be wrong but I just realized when I said those words I actually meant it. I understand I just got out of a relationship but at this moment I just wanted Jake. I went and hugged him, I held on to him showing him I'll always be his best friend no matter what. Soon as if fate was against us someone pulled me off of him.

"Kristalia what is the meaning of this!" My father yelled. Making both Jake and I share a worried look.

"Father I can explain." I started but was cut off.

"Who is he anyway? My daughter will not be hugging some commoner around me" He stated as he yelled in my face.

"He is my best friend Ja-" I started but was cut off.

"I am sorry sir, my name is Jake Charming. My father is Zachary Charming, and his father is Neal Charming." Jake started to explain.

"The Royals that disappeared, I didn't know you all were still around." My father lightened up and was actually decent with Jake. He pulled him away as they started walking away.

"Sucks that people leave you." Vincent commented.

"What do you want?" I asked glaring at him. He threw both hands in the air to surrender.

"Just wanted to see how you are princess." He simply stated as he put his hands in his pants pockets.

"I'm just peachy the weather on the other hand looks like it's getting bad" I replied as I looked up at the sky. Soon after saying those words thunder erupted throughout the sky making the heavens rumble the gods were mad and Zuse threw lightning bolts across the sky.

"Looks like a crazy storm is coming." Vince replied also looking up at the sky as thunder shook the earth. I had to admit I loved storms but it also scared me. It scared me to know this world is wicked and mother nature is a evil one.

"It's beautiful actually." I stated and right after saying those words the rain poured all around us making everything become drenched. People around us all screamed and ran towards the entrance of the ball room trying to get covered. Not me I threw my arms out to my side and twirled around the rain. I threw my head back and just enjoyed this weather.

"Kris lets go inside before you're electrocuted!" Vince yelled over the storm.

"No you could go I'm staying for a little longer!" I yelled back watching him nod and run inside. I watched the night sky flash making everything bright for a few milliseconds and then become dark again. I danced in the rain enjoying my last hours of freedom before my father announces my engagement.

"Krista come inside!" Cassius yelled running towards me.

"No Cass I'm free out here it's beautiful I love it!" I yelled spinning around in my now really heavy dress.

"Krista you can get hurt lets go!" Cassius yelled and gently grabbed my hand. As soon as he touched me lighting shot towards us making us both fly into the air. I looked up at the dark sky before falling into a deep sleep.

I woke up to the sun shinning all around me and I was in some forest. I slowly got up and winced from the pain of getting electrocuted. I'm surprised I survived that electric bolt. Once I got my vision cleared I saw a knocked out Cassius I held my dress up and ran to him as fast as a girl in heels could run. I dropped to my knees and put my ear to his chest and sighed in relief when I heard his steady heart beat.
