Traveling always scared me, in fact I hated to travel. Luckily I had Vincent to be with on this trip, he calmed my nerves and made sure I was okay.
Arriving into Cassius Kingdom was a little difficult since my father and his were so close. We had to sneak around on the out skirts of town. For a normal person this would've been easy, however with my face plastered all around town scared me. I was on a darn wanted poster!
"You have to be kidding me!" I exclaimed as I ripped the poster off the telephone pole.
"Kris we need to hurry up and get to the cabin." Vincent suggested as he grabbed my hand and adjusted my hood for me. He was so sweet to me lately and it made me wonder if he was always like this and I never realized it because they were so hateful towards me. I stood quite as we rushed into the forest making sure not to trip or fall. Squeezing Vincent's hand occasionally to help my nerves.
"I think we're lost" I whispered as we passed by the same broken log.
"I know it's some where close." Vincent stated as he came to a complete stop.
"Maybe we're over thinking it's location. Or what if it's hidden within the dreams." I replied as I took my heavy bag off Vincent's shoulders I quickly opened up the bag and grabbed the notebook.
Property or even whole kingdoms could be hidden within a dream. Those who are capable of dream walking are the only people who can be guided to the place needed to be found.
Vincent and I read over the passage over and over trying to understand how to find this cabin when we heard three kids laughing and running. I looked at Vincent to see if he heard them but he was showing no signs that he heard them. I looked back and saw the back of a little girl as she came to a stop and turned to looked at me. She smiled and waved me over to follow her. I pulled my lovely boyfriend with me as he struggled to put the notebook back into the bag and over his shoulders.
"Where are we going?" He questioned I simply answered by lifting my finger to my lips letting him know to be quite. The little girl looked back and walked closer to me, making my body freeze. That little girl was me, as a child. I suddenly remembered the day we found the cabin, I remember the boys teasing me as I told them about the mystery couple lost in the woods. I tried to explain they followed us to the cabin but when we reached it they disappeared.
"Vincent..remember that day we found the cabin?" I suddenly asked.
"Yea we made fun of you because you said you helped a girl and a guy to the cabin. You said the guy was carrying a bag while the girl looked like she was hiding who she really was...Wait that couldn't have been us was it?" Vincent questioned.
"I think it was us because we're following the younger version of me." I whispered as we watched the cabin come into view and the younger version of myself disappeared.
"That's so amazing, you helped us without even knowing it was really us in the future." He exclaimed as we got closer to the cabin. The door opened and Cassius stepped out with a smile on his face, for a moment I forgotten how amazing he looked. His hair was a little messy and he had some stubble on his chin. I couldn't help but remember that dream of us.
"Vincent my best friend and Krista the girl that annoys me." Cassius greeted.
"Hey man what's up?" Vincent asked casually. As we made our way into the cabin.
It looked like it did all those years ago, as if it hasn't been touched since then. Perhaps it hasn't after all only we knew where this place was located.
"Babe?" Vincent called. I looked at him with a puzzled look, since when does he call me that.
"What?" I asked.
"Are you okay or are you just ignoring us?" He asked.
"I'm not ignoring you, I was observing the place" I replied as I went and threw my self on the old dusty couch.
"Its always a pleasure to be in the sights of Krista, she really knows how to spread the sunshine." Cassius commented.
"Bite me Cassius" I rudely answered.
"You know you're much nicer in my dreams." Cass calmly stated as he sat next to me putting his arm around my shoulder, making me shrug his arm off me.
"Don't touch me" I snapped.
"Vincent how do you tolerate this girl?" Cass asked.
"I put a spell on him." I simply replied as Vincent decided to sit on my lap. I swear his weight was going to smash me but I felt calmer when he was near so I wrapped my arms around his torso instead.
"We love each other." Vincent replied.
"She isn't capable of love mate." Cassius commented.
"I am too capable of love, I love this big head right here!" I objected
"See she loves me" Vincent replied as he taunted Cassius who just had a shocking expression upon his face.
"Highly doubt it I mean who in their right mind would want to love you?" Cassius continued to joke around. I had forgotten how it was like to be around these two, how all they do is insult each other without getting upset. I decided to tune them out as Vincent got off my lap finally. I stood up trying to get the feeling back into my legs and looked around the small cabin. Its been years since all three of us stepped foot here together. It was before the teasing and bullying started maybe that was another reason why all three of us haven't stepped foot in the cabin before today.
"Cassius stop being mean to Vincent he doesn't know better" I giggled.
"I'm not being mean Krista, I'm manning him up to become a man!" Cassius answered. I ran towards him and pushed him to the ground.
"Vincent is our new friend and we don't be mean to our friends" I argued trying to protect the new kid.
"Thank you Princess." Vincent shyly commented.
"Fine then let's go exploring and stop flirting with my girl Vince." Cassius suggested as we followed him towards the woods.
"I'm not your girl Cassius" I argued and grabbed Vincent's hand and dragged him along with us. Half way exploring as I ran away from the boys I ended up seeing a couple looking completely lost. The girl was giddy behind the hood she was wearing while the boy carried a heavy looking bag. They looked lost, when I got the girls attention I motioned for her to follow me maybe we could help them. The girl dragged the boy along like I done with Vincent. They stood close but far enough to keep their distance, however when they reached the cabin they disappeared as if they were never here.
"Krista where were you?" Cassius asked.
"I helped a boy and a girl, they were lost but now they're gone." I whispered. Both boys laughed at me as I continued to look around for the couple I just knew they were here a moment ago.
"Krista are you sure you're not seeing things? My father told me that your father warnrd him about you. How you see invisible people." Vincent teased.
"Not the ghost thing again Krista" Cassius complained.
"Cassius I'm telling you the truth the girl had long dark hair and she looked as if she was hiding who she was, the boy looked tired as he carried a big bag around as if they were running from someone. Vincent you believe me right?" I asked.
"I doubt that happened ghost girl" Vincent teased as tears started to form in my eyes.
"Good one Vincent I think we'll be best lads yet" Cassius cheered as the two boys high five each other. I started to cry as I ran passed the boys and into the abandoned cabin we found a few hours prior to now.
It was that day we found a notebook one that didn't make sense until now.
