i was rushing out of the school, trying to quickly get to the park where jaemin and i will meet.

but i bumped into jisung on my way out and i figured i could walk home with him because his house is nearby the park.

" jisung! hey! " i greet him.

he looks down but says hello quietly.

" thanks for yesterday, by the way. that was really sweet of you.... i mean, not the insult part but it was sweet of you to protect me. " i say.

" you're boyfriend didn't look to be helping you at all so i just helped. " he says.

" what? aren't best friends supposed to help just as much or more than a boyfriend? you're just as important to me as jaemin, okay? you're so important and have always been important to me in so many different ways than i am for jaemin. i miss being best friends with you... "

" to be honest, i miss you as well. cheonsa isn't as fun as you. i miss you, yoori. " jisung says, hugging me tightly. " i'm sorry for being jealous, i just needed time to myself and realize that as long as you're happy, i'll be happy. "

i chuckle, ruffling his hair.

" ugh, i love you! don't deprive me of my jisung time ever again! but hey, i gotta go because i have plans! let's hang out soon! " i say, winking teasingly at him.

he plays along, acting dramatically but waving goodbye to me sweetly at the end.

" hey, you came! " a voice from behind me says, joyfully.

the person that said that hugs and pecks my cheek from behind.

" remember those times i bullied you? i'm sorry... i mean, that's in the past, i promise! i love you now and will always love you. " he says, turning me around.

" jaemin, is that bothering you right now? " i ask.

" i just remembered how i used to make fun of you and i just feel really bad... "

i laugh and peck him on the lips.

" it's okay. it's all in the past, and even though i hated the boy you used to be, i love the man you've grown to be. at least i have you now. i have you and my best friends. " i say.

he chuckles and pulls me in for another kiss. " when i kiss you, it tastes like heaven. "
