I wake up at 8, so a little later than usual. But I then remembered Taylor, Jessica, Wyatt, and Dad are leaving soon. So I hop up out of bed and do my normal morning routine.
After I get my clothes on I walk downstairs into the kitchen seeing everyone already eating.
"What you couldn't wait for little old me?" I ask, "I thought you were dead Mas. Your always awake before me." Jessica tells me, "So wait you thought I was dead and didn't come to check on me?" I ask confused. She nods her head.
I go over and sit down at the table and my dad sets a plate down in front of me. "Thanks Dad." I tell him picking up a fork and knife to cut my pancakes.
"Yep. And Mas remember your showing Jackson around today. Making sure he knows what to do and how to do it properly." Dad says emphasizing 'properly'. I just nod my head.
Jackson's POV
I wake up and roll over to look at the clock. 8:30? Why am I up so early? Just then Taylor comes bursting through my door and throws open the curtains. "Rise and shine princess. Jess, Wyatt, dad and I are leaving soon and you need to be up and ready so Mason can show you around." He tells me. "Do you really want me to listen to that little girl?" I ask;
"First that little girl is my sister. And if you do anything to her I will kill you with my bare hands. And second, Yes I do expect you too listen to her. She is going to help you. So be nice. Listen I'm leaving in 10 minutes be downstairs by then please." Taylor finishes off.
"Yeah yeah I will be." I day shoeing him off.
Masons POV
About 10 minutes later the devil walks down the stairs all dressed. I won't deny that he's cute, but definitely not my type. Besides I have the guy if my dreams already.
"Ok well now that Jack is down here we can go over the rules." Taylor starts, "Wait rules?" Jackson asks clearly annoyed already.
"Yes. Now Jackson you will listen to what Mason says, she is in charge here while my dad, Jessica, and I are away. I don't care if your older then her, she knows what she's doing. And no taking advantage of her. And Mason. Just try not to kill him. He's the man who writes my paychecks." He finishes I chuckle a little bit. Dad and him come over and place a kiss on my head giving me a hug and saying 'I love you, call if you need anything.' Or some form of that.
Once they all pull out of the driveway I waste no time starting my job.
"Okay follow me," I say to Jackson, he walks slowly behind me. "We don't have all day let's go." I say when I reach the barn and Jackson is still taking is sweet time.
Five minutes later when Jackson finally gets down to the barn I am leaning against the wall, "Okay follow me." I tell him and start walking up to the first stall.
"This is Willow, she's very nice and calm. She is about 14 years old and is a buckskin quarter-horse. She is who we will be using to get you used to being around horses. But first we will finish the introductions." I let him know.
