Masons POV

I am quickly able to catch up to Willow. She may be fast, but Dash is much faster than most horses we have.

I'm right by Jackson now still running, "Hold on to the horn!" I shout, he does as told and I then quickly lean over and grab onto Willows reins and pull on them making her come to a stop.

"And that is why you don't act so cocky." I smile saying to Jackson. "Haha, very funny. I thought you said this is a calm horse."

"She is, but not only did you kick at her really hard, but she is smarter then you think. She thought that by what you said you knew what you were doing." I explain to him.

"Come on, lets just walk back to the barn go over some basics. And if you like I can show you a few things. Or we can go back to shoveling poop. Your choice." I say starting to walk back on Dash.

Jackson POV

"What is there to even show me? Other then sitting on a horse riding it around." I ask, she immediately stops Dash and turns him around, "What did you say?"

"I said when you ride a horse your just sitting there." I state bluntly "Is that right? Well let's go back and find out shall we?" She says, I just shrug my shoulders and click for Willow to go.

Once back to the barn, we untack which is much easier then tacking up. "Just let me go change quick. Would be a dear and get Shadow and Saint out?" She says, "Sure" and then we both head our ways to do what we need.

5 minutes later Mason comes back with another pair of shoes. "Come with me, it will go a lot faster if you help me get the tack." She says, so I follow her into the tack room, and she goes right for a western saddle, then a western saddle pad, girth, bridle, and breastplate.

"Please just take those out and set them up neatly on the saddle rack by Shadow." I decide not to question her and just do what she says.

A few minutes later Mason comes out with another set of tack but this time it's all English. She tacks up both Shadow and Saint in about 15 minutes. And asks for me to lead out Shadow and hold onto him while she shows me 'how it's done'.

Mason easily mounts Saint, and starts doing a few circles with him warming him up. And before I know it she is jumping. She has her ass so high up it's hard not to look at it. Even if it's just for a split second.

She is so focused throughout the whole course, I can tell she and Saint both know exactly what they are doing. In moments she comes up to me still on Saint. "So what were you saying about just sitting on the horse?" She says and then gets down.

"Yeah ok jumping you have to do work, but when you're in western or whatever it's all chill." I say, "Let's test your theory. Have you ever seen a barrel race?" She asks, "Yeah", "Would you say it's easy and the horse doing all the work?" She asks again, "Pretty much." I say following her with Shadow still in hand and her leading Saint back to the barn.

When we get back she takes off Saints tack and puts him in his stall, but leaving the tack out. She then changes from the English boots to the western ones.

She grabs Shadow and leads me towards another arena I have yet to see. I notice though, it has barrels, and poles in it, the poles set off to the side, but the barrels all set up.

She enters the arena with Shadow and again gets on easily. Like last time she is warming him up but then she stops and walks over to me still on the horse.

"Get your phone out" She instructs, I pull it out of my pocket. "Go to the stop watch and tell me when to go." She say turning Shadow around getting ready.

"Go" I say pressing start, and just like that she and Shadow take off, making a perfect run. As soon as she stops in front of me I click stop. I am amazed at the time.

"11 seconds flat" I say to her, "Yep that sounds about right. Now please tell me, how easy it to ride a horse?" She asks, I stay quiet. She hops off and exits the arena. "That's what I thought." She says smirking.
