“What the hell do you mean the world is mad", I said, as I gently sat down on the floor for support.

“Klaus, what Hayden is trying to say is Dr. Jinx has struck again. The water everywhere has been taken away. The only flowing water in the world is in Kakos”, Ender said.

“Kakos”, I said feeling like a huge chunk of my life was missing.

“It’s a city created by Jinx, but that doesn’t matter. The whole world is mad, literally. The Carriers had no access to water. Everyone in the world is a juggernaut.

My body went numb for a couple seconds. I closed my eyes and thought back to the night I killed the Proxy. He had woken up. He became a juggernaut. This was insane to me. The whole world was at its highest peak and now, it has reached its lowest. And it keeps on plummeting.

“Shit”, I said as I started to stand up.

“Hayden, grab the bags, we’re going to Kakos.”

Hayden and Ender looked at me like I was high. I stared right back at them and began to laugh.

“What are you guys doing? Let’s get a move on.”

“Are you fucking insane?”, Ender said.

“You’re an escaped convict and you want to go into a high patrolled city, guarded by Proxies and Jinx himself? You’re asking for a death sentence. Come on! You and I know Jinx is like the Hitler of the future. That dude is like a juggernaut!”

“Yes, I understand this”, I said even though words could not describe how nervous I was.

“Then we aren’t going.”

“Klaus, I’ll go with you", Hayden said.

Ender looked at Hayden with a dumbfounded expression.

“Okay then, I advise we get a move on. Grab some ammo and water. We’re going to need it.”

Ender, still looking somewhat shocked, agreed and started to help. Usually, if Hayden wanted to do something, he would do it. Hayden usually always had the right instincts. She could tell right from wrong easily. As I was grabbing a bottle of water, Ender came up from behind me and turned me around roughly.

“I hope you have an idea about what you’re doing.”

I looked at him in his eyes and kindly grinned. Honestly, I didn’t know what I was doing. I think I was acting out of anger for Hayden. She was so perfect; she couldn’t live in a dreadful world like this!

I looked over at Hayden. As soon as she spoke, there was a knock at the door.

“What the”, Ender said as he slowly retrieved his gun from the inside of his tux. The tux and Knockarounds; something all the Proxies where. As sad as it is to say, Ender is a Proxy. He just doesn’t live by Ender’s rule.

Hayden ran over to me. Ender made his way to the door as Hayden and I embraced. I slid the desert eagle out from the back of my pants. I was ready to attack at any moment. Hayden looked at me with a tense expression on her face. It was also stirred with a frightened look also. I held on tighter. If she felt more comfortable, so did I.

Ender stood at the side of the door. There was another knock, but this time a girl’s voice was heard through the heavy metal door.

The woman said, “I know someone is in there. Please, let me in. I’m not infected.”

“Ender, proceed with caution”, I said as he went to unlatch the door. Ender unlocked the door and it swung open and then shut again. The woman locked it behind her.

“Thank you so much”, the woman said gasping for air.

“You have no clue what has been going on out there. Big creatures. Spiders. Alien type things. It’s not real!”

“Well sadly, it is. This is our life now and we need to deal with it. Now, who the hell are you”, I said as I let go of Hayden and took two steps closer to the woman.

“My name is Ellie, Ellie Fia. And you, my friend, are Klaus Gordon.”

She knew my name. Of all the people in the world I met, it seemed as if they never remembered my name. I meet a person for the first time in my life and they know my name. This was insanity!

“May I ask how you know my name?”

Hayden walked over slowly to Ender who had his gun ready to fire if there were any mishaps.

“I’m taking it you haven’t been to Kakos, which is totally okay, in your case.”

“What’s my case?”

“Klaus, you’re number one most wanted in the territory of Kakos.”

At that moment, my body froze. I became numb and couldn’t hear anything. My vision became so black I couldn’t see the bright white florescent light radiating from the ceiling. I felt a huge mass of rage throughout my body. I needed to kill Dr. Jinx.
