We didn't really make it back. We didn't even make it halfway. The eagles landed on the dock and a whole bunch of Roman soldiers unloaded.

"Surrender to Roman!" Some kid screeched.

"Fat chance, Octavian," Hazel said, drawing her sword.

I lifted my hands, ready to become the witch I truly was. I've always loved being a witch. It terrified people and I lived off of that fear. Octavian would've been fine - he was skinnier than a blade of grass - but his bodyguards were the problem. They were buff and weighed more than a motherfucker.

Piper held out her hands. "Octavian, what happened at Camp Jupiter was a setup. We can explain."

"Can't hear!" Octavian screamed. "We have wax in our ears - standard when battling evil sirens and witches."

I rolled my eyes and flicked my hand. Octavian was sent flying backward. He screeched and landed with a thud. Annabeth took her chance to toss her dagger into the harbor.

Octavian got to his feet and started marching towards us, shaking his finger. He was turning redder by the second. Fortunately, I didn't get to see his dumbass anymore since the entire harbor erupted and crashed into the dock, pulling the Romans with it.

Percy was the only one left on the dock. He held out Annabeth's dagger, completely poker-faced. "You dropped this."

Annabeth tackled Percy in a hug. "I love you!"

"Guys," I interrupted, smiling. "We gotta go."

"Get me out of here!" Octavian yelled from the water. "I'll kill you!"

"Tempting!" I snarked.

"What?" Octavian shouted, holding onto one of his guards.

I rolled my eyes. "Nothing. Come on, guys. We gotta ditch."

All of us climbed onto the Argo II. Annabeth ran to the helm and called out, "Hazel, get below. Use one of the sinks to call Jason. Get him back here quickly."

Piper raced off.

"Hazel, get Coach his trigger-happy hindquarters up here."

Hazel headed off as well.

"Ezzy, get Sasha and lead those eagles away. Make sure to lose them."

"Gotcha, booboo."

I dashed downstairs and to the stables. Sasha was always on her feet, standing at attention. I marched for her stable, waving my hand. The door flung up and Sasha jumped out. She ran past and I swung on her back as she ran past. I held on tight, keeping low.

Sasha ran through the tight hallways. She ran up the stairs and burst onto the deck. Sasha immediately spread out her wings and took off. Sasha headed straight for the Eagles. When Sasha and I got close enough, Sasha veered off towards Fort Sumter. The Eagles followed suit.

I turned myself around so I was facing the eagles. Each of them had a Roman soldier on them. One of the Romans raised a bow and drew the string. My hand shot and the bow broke in half. I waved my hands, sending out a shock wave. The wave sent ripples through the eagles and sent a few off the path.

I readjusted myself as Sasha took a divebomb towards Fort Sumter. I laughed, feeling the air leave my lungs. I loved doing things like this.

The eagles followed suit. Sasha and I came close to hitting Fort Sumter before Sasha pulled up. The eagles flew past us as Sasha and I rose higher.

I could hear the Romans cursing as they almost crashed into the ground. I laughed before coming to a sudden stop. Some of the eagles had turned their attention to the fort. I could see some blasts of fire shooting towards the eagles and I'm sure Leo had something to do with it. I needed to do something these eagles though.
