02 | meeting the boys

when the car arrived i stepped out and thanked the driver. i wheeled my bags up to the door before quickly fixing my appearance, i shrugged slightly, i was still in my practice clothes.

i knocked and waited a few moments before the door opened. "hello." the eldest boy smiled. i knew about the group, i knew all of their names, but i had only spoken to them once in a meeting. "oh! you're the trainee!"

"ani, yes." i smiled and nodded.

"come in, come in." he hummed and grabbed a few of my bags, helping me inside. "how can we help you?" he asked softly and took a few steps back, his arms being held behind his back.

"he didn't tell you?"

"who?"

"bang."

he shook his head and looked down at his phone, "no, i haven't gotten a text or anything, what was he supposed to tell me-" his sentence was interrupted by the sound of his ringtone going off. "hold on."

"right on time." i mumbled and looked around the front part of the dorm.

"joining?" jin almost yelled, his eyes wide as he looked around and covered his mouth, "really? okay. i'll let them know." he shoved his phone into his pocket as he laughed awkwardly. "so you're a part of the team now!" he smiled. "kids!" he yelled, causing me to laugh quietly.

slowly one by one, the rest of the boys piled into the living room of the dorm, all of them on their phones. "what's so important thag you had to interrupt my game for?" the one i recognized as the youngest, jungkook said, looking up from his phone, he jumped a little and looked over at jin.

"yah! get off of your phones this is important." he said and crossed his arms, taking a step so he was closer.

all of their eyes widened when they saw me, i smiled slightly and looked down, not liking the sudden spotlight.

"this is our new member, ani."

"new member?" they all said at the same time.

jin nodded and held up a text from bang. "yes our new member, so introduce yourselves, don't be such children." he hummed and pushed jimin towards me.

"oh, uh, hello. i am park jimin." he smiled brightly and nodded, bowing his head.

"i'm kim taehyung."

"hi i'm jeon jungkook."

"nice to meet you ani, i'm kim namjoon."

"new member! hi! i'm jung hoseok!"

"i'm min yoongi."

"and i'm kim seokjin. ani, welcome to the bangtan family."

i bowed to everyone and said hello softly, "i know this is sudden, i also just found out about an hour ago. so i apologize for just coming over, i know you are all very close and i am a stranger, but i hope one day we can all become close as well."

"it will take some getting used to, but we promise to not treat you any differently." namjoon said and closed his eyes, nodding.

"where is she going to sleep?" jungkook asked quietly, almost under his breath.

"ah sleeping arrangements, taehyung? she can sleep in your room. it's the biggest and we can easily order furniture."

"with me? okay." taehyung nodded and smiled over at me.

i looked down and gulped slightly. i thought i would be put into my own room, but moving so suddenly in with one of them?

"ani, you're okay with this.. right?" jin asked.

i looked up at nodded quickly, "of course, as long as i can have a bed i'll be good anywhere." semi lie. on the inside i was dying slowly.

"great! let's call staffs and have them bring you some furniture. a bed, a night stand, and a dresser. standard." namjoon said and walked over to the kitchen, i heard him talking on the phone requesting the items as he hummed and said a thank you. "they'll be here by eight."

yoongi and the younger boys remained quiet for the time, just awkwardly looking at eachother. "well- i guess i can show you around." yoongi said after a few moments of silence, guiding me down the hall.
