chapter 26: casino

No one's p.o.v

Akira woke up the next day to a dark room, he blinked a few times to get used to the darkness, it took him a while to remember yesterday's events before looking to his side to see a sleeping [m/n], his blanket covering his sleeping form but you could see just a peak of that beautiful [h/c] hair. Akira sat up quietly and crouched down near [m/n]. Akira smiled softly before pulling the blanket off of [m/n] to reveal a peaceful sleeping face.

"You still sleep through anything [m/n]" akira mumbled and combed his hands through the long/short tresses before moving some of [m/n]'s hair away from his forehead before giving it a light kiss and stroking his cheek with the back of his hand before standing up and walking into the bathroom.

Not a moment later that [m/n] woke up from his sleep with a jolt into a sitting position. [M/n] panted for a second or two before looking around the room and calming down with a sigh of relief. "Thank god nothing literally bad happened to me while I was asleep" sighed [m/n] as he greeted his morning's with the personalities living within him. As [m/n] stood up from his seat on the ground he caught sight of his hand and froze instantly.

'W-what the hell?......' I raised my [s/c] hand towards my face, no my black hand towards my face. 'Oh my god, what happened [m/n]?' Shiro asked shakily. 'His hand turned fucking black dumbass! Are you blind or some shit?' Asked kuro. I covered my mouth with my normal hand and remembered the dream from last night. So that means the dream was real, alistar is going to kill me if i don't do anything if I don't stop him and stand my ground but....'. I clenched my black hand before it fell limply to my side.

I kept my head down and walked to my drawers to pick out a clean school uniform for the day and full fingered gloves for each of my hands. After I finally placed everything on I quickly went to the other bathroom in the house and brushed my teeth before washing my face. I walked out of the bathroom and went to the kitchen. I looked at the time to see that it was 6:30 am, and for once I woke up earlier than my mom.

'I want to go out early' I said to myself. 'Just do some shit before I get bored' kuro said as I walked to the fridge and grabbed the notepad lying on it. I took out a pen from my school bag and wrote down to say that I went out earlier to my sister, mom and akira. I placed the note on the fridge before walking out the house.

I took out my [f/c] headphones and attached it to my phone before playing a familiar song. "Now to the courthouse" I said before I started my walk towards there.

Time skip:

Once I got there I took out my phone once again and typed in the keywords. "Sae nijima" I said. "Candidate found" the monotone voice of the app said. "Courthouse" I said the second keyword. It beeped before I said the last keyword. I closed my eyes to avoid a coming headache as the world around me warped as well as the sound.

I opened my eyes again to see...that nothing changed whatsoever. I internationally groaned and was about to see what was up with the app before I suddenly heard the sound of faint music coming from somewhere. I looked around and only noticed now that I was the only person standing here. 'Are we in that other whatever thing or what?' Asked kuro.

I looked into the distance and began to walk where the music was coming from. Once I was passed the courthouse building my eyes widened at what I saw. A bright, shiny and loud casino was standing in the distance. I rubbed my eyes once, then I rubbed them twice I looked up again at the casino in awe. 'Holy hell, that's a huge ass casino' kuro said. 'It's very bright too' shiro muttered. I then made my way down the street towards the casino.

Once I got to the entrance I saw a familiar blonde standing there in his normal Victorian clothes while humming strangely to himself as he sewed a brand new doll. I walked over to him as he looked up from his work and grinned. He ran up towards me and nearly knocked the living daylights out of me. "Why couldn't sae pick something cuter for my host?~" fake cried Alistair as he pulled away from me. "You know the palace ruler?" I raised an eyebrow curiously. "I know a few people now come, your suit should appear on you shortly!" Alistair waved and walked through the sliding doors.

'[M/n] you better tell us what the fuck is going on right now you fucker!' Yelled kuro. I sweat dropped and shook my head saying that I would explain everything later before the memory of what Alistair said earlier entered my mind. I then curiously looked down at my clothes to see that I was wearing a suit that fitted my frame very well.

I looked at myself for a few more seconds before walking into the casino. I saw Alistair waving in the distance before he walked towards a huge elevator and held the door open. Realizing that he was waiting for me I quickly followed him into the machine as the elevator went higher and higher. As we were going up Alistair sat down on one of the many couches that lied within the elevator and poured himself a glass of champagne.

I just stood in my place as the scenery in front of me changed into the outside of the casino. "I'll just show you where we have to meet when I need you and to meet sae" Alistair said before taking a sip from his glass. "You mean meet the palaces ruler? As in face to face talking?" I snapped my head to look at him. "She is kind enough to lend us a part of the casino, the least you could do is say thank you" Alistair placed his now empty champagne down. I grumbled to myself and crossed my arms before the elevator doors opened and we exited. "Shadows do linger around here but I don't think that you should worry about it, now! Let's go to the rooms!" Alistair excitedly said.

"Rooms?" I asked and looked at him. "I asked sae to give us a few different rooms so that I can train you and help you into defeating me" Alistair grinned. I looked at him before nodding slowly, slightly understanding what he said. "Good, now there are about four separate rooms to where we are heading. The first one is a lounge area with a beautiful bar and relaxing music like jazz, then there is the training room and that room is mostly empty but it has a few weapons in there to practice with. The third room is a game room where we'll be training your mental strength and toughen it up against anything. The last room is specifically designed just for you and that one I'll keep a surprise" Alistair explained as we walked down the hallway.

After a few long minutes of silence Alistair spoke up again. "We're going to the game room first then were going to the training room and so on, only today I'll just show you around and tell you the exercises were going to be doing" Alistair said before grinning and skipping like a little girl that just got a brand new doll in her hands.

I looked down and began to think. 'I don't want to lose to him and I don't want to lose to my doubt or fear...... so I'll just push forward for everyone. My family and my friends because they deserve it. They deserve it because of all the things they have gone through all the blame, suffering, crying, fear and anger. They are doing they're best for everyone and to keep on living. So that's no reason for me to put my effort into this so that's why....' I raised my head and smiled to myself.

'I'll survive this and protect everyone I care about' I closed my eyes once again before following a grinning Alistair.
