Dr. Park Jimin was going to be late for work. It would be the first time in the two years that he'd been working at the college down the street that he wasn't going to be early by at least ten minutes and to make it worse, halfway there he had to turn back around and sprint to his apartment.
He rounded the corner to the stairs so fast that he scraped his side on the rough brick without enough time to even brush away tears before he was slamming hard into someone and bouncing off, only to once again thud against the side of the stairwell.
Glancing through his watery eyes at the figure, he mumbled an apology as he slid past, ignoring the pain along his ribs as he stumbled up the stairs to his apartment.
