Forgot to update😬

There's a lot of inner dialogue in this chapter, but it's all italicized so it should be easy to tell that's what it is.

It took the rest of the car ride for Jimin to calm down his internal screaming and he nearly had to start all over again when Yoongi held the door open for him to the new resturaunt he'd been wanting to try for weeks.

"Jeez," he muttered as he looked around. It was filled with waiters in suits and plush carpet and screamed 'rich'. He turned to glance at Yoongi, lips pulled up in a bright grin. "You should be careful taking me to such a fancy place," Jimin teased. "People may think you're taking me on a date."

"Nah," Yoongi laughed quietly. "Everyone probably knows I'd never be able to ask out someone who's as close to perfection as you are."

"Well, that's too bad. You totally would've won bonus points if you took me here on our first date." Holy shit, I can't beleive I just said that! They looked at each other with matching expressions of shock, not only surprised by their own words, but the others as well.

Just as Yoongi started to say more, a pretty waitress came by to lead them to a quiet booth in the back corner, leading them with a smirk that seemed to hold far too much pride.

Yoongi couldn't fight the way his stomach curled when she lingered by Jimin's side while taking their drink orders; he didn't miss the way her voice turned sweeter when she talked to him, saw clearly the slip of paper she dropped into his lap and the way he tensed when she leaned down to whisper against his ear.

Maybe Yoongi glared a little to hard at the table until she left them alone, and looked up a little to fast when the scrap of paper was thrust beneath his nose. But his worries at his behaviour dissipated when he saw the panic in Jimin's eyes.

"Open it," he hissed. "Please! Tell me how bad it is!" With an awkward fumble, Yoongi opened it, heart feeling as if it had stopped when he read the beautiful cursive and the little numbers in bright pink ink scrawled across the paper.

It was sweet, and simple, and pretty; And she was pretty, and sweet, and simple! And holy fuck, Jimin probably likes-

"How horrible is it?" Jimin interrupted, eyes wide.

"Umm, I-it's... she seems to be very interested and she left her number." Yoongi finally managed to stumble out A response, letting the paper slip from his grip and moving his clenched fists to his lap.

He had no right to feel the way he did and he knew that, knew Jimin would notice and question him if he noticed he seemed tense. He shouldn't-

The sound of a terrified squeak brought Yoongi's attention back to the squirming blonde across the table.

"How do I tell her I'm gay!? Help me, Yoongi! What do I-"

"Kiss me." Fuck! He wasn't supposed to say that! What if-

"Really!? You wouldn't mind? Damn it, she's coming! Help me n-" The scrape of his hipbone against the table edge seemed to ease when soft skin met his fingertips and the feel of lips against his sent his head spinning. Later, Yoongi would use the excuse of Jimin's rambling making him nervous.

At the moment, he was far to focused on the hot cheek beneath his palm and the way Jimin's lips had started to move, hesitantly, the way the hand in his hair felt as it held him close.

It ended to quickly, bursts of emotion clouding their sight for a moment. Holy fuck, I wanna do that again.

Jimin, with a bright flush, touched a hand to his lips, eyes shining. I want him to do that again.

It was another moment before the waitress continued walking towards them, a rush of red coating her cheeks as she took their orders.

Yoongi, with his heart racing so fast it hurt, gave Jimin a shy smile behind her back as she turned away. Jimin returned it, the air between them seeming to dance with energy as they laughed quietly, minds the calmest they've ever been for just a moment.

They stayed like that, laughing and blushing, for the rest of the night. It was awkward, but it wasn't awkward at the same time, tinged with just a bit of embarrassment.

It was perfect.
