Stardate 2259.56
Admiral Marcus turned to face Jim, Sala, and Spock once again, "London was not an archive. It was a top-secret branch of Starfleet designated Section Thirty-One," Admiral Marcus started to walk towards the desk that was in the room, "They were developing defense technology and training our officers to gather intelligence on the Klingons and on any other potential enemy who means to do us harm.
"Harrison was one of our top agents."
"Well, now he's a fugitive and I want to take him out," Jim said simply.
There was a brief silence in the room before Admiral Marcus spoke again, "Pike always said you were one of our best and brightest. You should've heard him defend you. He's the one who talked you into joining Starfleet, wasn't he?"
"Yes, sir."
"Did he ever tell you who talked him into joining?," Admiral Marcus paused for a moment, "His death is on me. And yours can't be."
"Sir, please. All I-."
"Miss Sala, you said the province where Harrison's hiding is uninhabited?"
"Affirmative, sir," Sala answered.
Marcus thought in silence for a moment before he reached for an interface on the desk in front of him, "As part of our defensive strategy, Thirty-One developed a new photon torpedo," Marcus activated a hologram that displayed said torpedo, "Long-range and untraceable, it would be invisible to Klingon sensors. I don't want you hurt, but I want you to take him out. You park on the edge of the Neutral Zone, you lock onto Harrison's position, you fire, you kill him, and you haul ass."
There was a quick quiet in the room.
"Permission to reinstate Mister Spock as my First Officer," Jim requested.
This caused both Spock and Sala to look at Jim.
While at that time no officer was declared as the Enterprise's First Officer, it would logically be assumed that since Jim was the Captain of the ship again after being the First Officer, that Sala, the Second Officer, would be bumped up to being First Officer.
However, a Captain is entitled to choose his First Officer.
Admiral Marcus gave Jim a small nod, "Granted."

Sala was making her way through Hanger One in her duty uniform, the outer coats on her body. All members of the USS Enterprise's crew were notified to report immediately for the mission Jim had pressed Admiral Marcus for.
The female Vulcan was making her way towards a shuttle when she heard McCoy's voice echo in the hanger.
"Jim!" McCoy called, "Where were you?"
"For what?" Jim asked.
Sala quickly caught sight of Jim and McCoy and saw they were heading towards the same shuttle she was.
"Your medical exam," McCoy said simply, "Ten hours ago you were in a damn firefight. Now it's my duty as ship's Doctor-."
"I'm fine, Bones," Jim said in a level voice.
Sala finished her approach as she saw McCoy turn Jim towards him.
"The hell you are," McCoy said in a lower voice.
Jim was quiet for a moment, "I'm fine."
"Jim," Sala said softly as he started to board the shuttle, "Are you sure?"
