Cloudie gasped as Jungkook turned the colour of beetroot. Silence drifted through the shop as Baekhyun, biting his lip, exited.
Taehyung, on the other hand, had other plans. Thrusting his hand forward he said
"You can just call me Taehyung. I hope we can become better friends ".
Jungkook, still in a state of shock, extended his hand forward and shook it and....
Just left it there. Taehyung's large fingers engulfed his own like an enzyme and a substrate. It wasn't until Taehyung smiled uneasily and Cloudie whispered to him that he let go.
"Umm...Me too, I guess. You can just call me Jungkook and uh, yeah".
Silence. Extreme awkward silence.
"Oh! The order! Let me get it for you" Jungkook squeaked embarrassed and hurriedly went to retrieve a jar of flowers.
What had gotten into him? One hot dude and he's all jelly? What would Irene think! She'd always warned him about reapers who would try to charm him through magic. Maybe Taehyung was doing the same?
Either way, he made his way towards the counter and place the order in front of Taehyung who seemed very interested in certain drawings on the walls.
"Umm...Taehyung-ssi, your order is ready. You can go now" Jungkook spoke.
Taehyung turned around and raked his eyes up and down Jungkooks body. Jungkook started feeling even more suspicious.
"Thank you. I'll be leaving now" Taehyung said monotonously as he picked the order and left.
Jungkook got the feeling something was wrong but left it at that. It's better this way, he thought. The more distant they are, the more he'll foil Taehyung's plans of seduction. He huffed as he started mixing some cloves with lime juice. Taehyung was no puppeteer. And Jungkook was no puppet.
No, Jungkook would never be like his parents.
