Taehyung sipped his coffee silently, admiring the canvas in front of him. It was a magnificent depiction of death, with a skull sprouting flowers and butterflies. The gallery held similar themes of more paintings, as Autumn grew closer, time of Halloween slowly approaching the oncoming months.
Taehyung strode over to another painting. Today he was wearing a pink hoodie and blue jeans, having a day off for today. It was releif, considering the events taking place in the past week's. Reaper halls were decreasing worryingly in number. Yoongi and Seokjin didn't tell him much, afraid of spreading too much panic. But as much as the subject was trying to be avoided, the tension still remained. Even if no one said it, everyone had the same thing in mind, we might be next.
Shaking his head, he turned to leave, and a some man in a business suit immediately bumped into him.
Now, Taehyung would normally just accept the apology, smile and walk away, but his entire freaking hoodie was soaked oh my f-
"I'm sorry sir, I-I can pay if you want to. Not-not that I'm trying to cover the mistake or anything but-" Taehyung silenced the man with his hand, an understanding smile softening his features. Yes, he was pissed, but the guy looked like he had to somehow reach the other side of the world within ten minutes.
The man hesitated, but left. He sighed, discarding the cup into a bin and getting some tissues to clean whatever he could. It was a long walk back to Funerals and Flowers, and though he could wisp travel, he definetely didn't want Hyuna seeing him in his unclean attire. Plus, he was itching to get out of his room, everything too suffocating, his thoughts loud in the silence of his rooms.
Taehyung exited the gallery, eager to stop by a shop and buy a new shirt or two. It had been forever since he'd done some shopping (not really, he'd just bought three outfits last week). The sky was dark, humungous clouds drifting along the winds. The air was much more chilly, Taehyung pulling up his hood and snuggling closer into his top. He should've worn more layers.
Just as the thought crossed his mind, he felt a drop land on his cheek.
And another.
And another.
Until Taehyung had very limited time to run through the slowly approaching heavy rain and find some shop to stop in for a while.
He ran, as the rain grew heavier with each step. It was a weekend of all days and more than half the shops opened in the afternoons. Cursing, his eyes scanned the road for any bus stop, anything. He couldn't even wisp travel now, considering it was illegal to do it in public. He saw a few people walking with umbrellas, while spotting others in a state likewise to him.
His glasses were completely blurred, and he swiftly took them off, eyes focusing on a small open sign. He ran a little more faster, the rain thundering at this point, and entered the place completely soaked.
Taehyung felt the warmth of the place engulfing him, now pulling his hood down and shaking his head, his wet strands dispersing water droplets. He slid his glasses in the pocket of his jeans, which were becoming more and more uncomfortable by the second.
"Taehyung?"
Taehyung's head snapped up to the familiar voice. Now that he was a little more aware of his surroundings, he noticed the shelves lined with candles and bottles of herbs and potion mixes, books of enchantment piled up on the counter as the boy behind it was scribbling in them.
Taehyung could almost hear Jimin cackle in the distance at how much of a coincidence this was because holy guacamole he had somehow ran all the way to Green Velvet.
