Chapter-10

Azura's POV

Everything was just too much to take in one go.

The night, Dante, Angelo, Alex, Joshua and Lauren.

This was so messy.

My head is spinning right now with soo much information.

I fell like my head is going to burst open any second.

As Alex was explaining everything I found myself struggling to digest the information.

From Dante to Angelo to Him. He told me everything that morning. Their were no secrets from his side, but from mine.

He wanted a relationship.

But I don't think I am ready for one.

My heart says yes, but my mind keeps on reminding me of the past.

Joshua.

If it wasn't of him. We would still have been living happily. Maybe on our second kid.

But like they say nothing last forever.
You have to take chances of you want to create better opportunities for overselves.

I was tired of being alone. I was tired of crying over the same memories every night before going to sleep.

I wanted Phoenix to have a childhood like any other normal kid. Whose parents aren't divorced, who live together happily and in love.

Now I was ready to take risks.

I didn't know what came upon me but I suddenly hugged Alex.

My arms flying around him engulfing him into the warmth of my body.

Feeling him against myself calmed down my inner demons.

He returned my hug by tightening his arms around my body.

We stood their like for a few minutes.

It felt like I have found an iceberg in a hot desert.

I knew I was attracted to Alex the first day I met him but kept my feelings at the bay.

I didn't wanted to harm him by showing him who I was.

I broken women. Who needed a lot of mending.

I was like a puzzle that has to be completed by placing the each piece carefully at every place.

One mistake and you are on the square one.

"Baby", He whispered huskly, his chest vibrating against my ear as he spoke.

"Hmm", that was the only reply I could give at that time.

"Ugh! I hate when someone replies with a 'Hmm' in their answer." , He said childishly.

"Well you have to bear that for your lifetime of you want me around.", I said cheekily.

He suddenly gasped at my answer. Which I found was very funny as I couldn't help but laugh at his sick-tatics.

"Did you just accept that you will go on a date with me?", He said shockingly.

"What? What's so shocking in me accepting to go on a date with you?",I asked drowning at him.

Which he returned by frowning back and saying,"I taught you would play hard to get."
