07 Good Riddance

I woke up this morning with enthusiasm, today is the day that Tony is going to leave town. Last night was a blast. It was the first time that I partied. It was the first time I got drunk. It was the first time I smoked a bong. It was the first time I got high. I can't believe I've done things like those. I've never done anything like that before. I don't really want to detail everything but here are some key words. Marijuana. Alcohol. Puke. Dance Music. That was the wildest night of my life. We all slept at Heather's house. Anyway, I woke Tony up because she has a flight to catch at exactly 8 AM.

"Hey Tony, wake up.

"What time is it?"

"6 AM. You gotta get ready"

"Okay."

"Let me drive you home and help you with your stuff."

"Thanks Caleb."

Tony was a bit drunk last night. Maybe she has a hangover. Okay, so we drove home. Tony took a shower and I went to her room to get her stuff. While walking downstairs Mason walked towards me.

"Hey Caleb."

"What do you fucking want? I'm just here to help Tony get her stuff and after that I'm gonna fucking leave."

"Sorry about last night."

"Apology not accepted."

"You know, I'm trying so hard."

That fucking statement made me fucking furious. I dropped one of the bags that I was carrying.

"You're trying hard?"

"Yes, I am."

"Trying hard on what?"

"For you to like me."

I sarcastically laughed and said "Do you expect me to like you?"

"I was hoping that you would."

"You know, I'm wasting my time talking to a prick like you."

I carried the bag to the car and waited for Tony. While waiting, I saw Sam's car driving into their garage. She went out of the car and she noticed that I was sitting on top of Tony's car. Sam walked towards me.

"Hey Caleb."

"Hey... Sam."

"I can't believe she's leaving."

"Yeah, I know."

"I'm gonna miss her."

"Yeah, me too."

"Tell her I said good bye."

"Sure."

She beckoned a hug. Of course I don't want to leave her hanging, I jump from the top car and hugged her.

"I'm gonna come in now, I'll see you later Caleb."

"Okay."

Sam walked towards their house.

"Oooh, what was that about?" Tony asks.

"We're best friends. She said good bye."

"Okay, are you gonna drive?"

"Yeah."

We both entered the car. The airport is a 30-minute drive from our town.
