03 Lust

Funny thing about my life now is that I have to wake up early every day. Just doing the same things again. I mopped the second floor again. When I went down Evelyn came again. I don't want to serve her right now.

"Hey Liz" I say.

She stopped what she's doing and faced me.

"Yes?"

I walked towards her.

"Can you serve Evelyn today?" I whisper.

"Why so whispery?" She asks, laughingly.

"Please?" I ask.

She stared into my eyes. It feels like she's staring into my soul.

"Sure Caleb"

I went inside the kitchen, trying to listen to their conversation.

"Good morning Eve, do you want the usual?" Elizabeth asks.

"Sure. Uh, where's Caleb?" Evelyn asks.

"He's in the kitchen"

"Oh, okay"

Elizabeth walked inside the kitchen and pinned her order.

"Caleb, go get her coffee. She's looking for you" Elizabeth says.

I don't want to refuse orders even from co-workers. Damn, I have to do it. Well, caramel macchiato it is. I walked towards her table and she smiled at me.

"There you are" She says.

"Good morning" I say.

She smiled once again.

"So, when are you free?" She asks.

"I don't know yet, I'll ask Mr. Shultz later"

"You should" She says.

Some customer walked in.

"Well, I'll call you" I say.

"You better" She says, smiling.

"I need to take their order" I say.

"Sure."

I mean, she's nice and all but I just don't want to lead her on. I'm not over with Michelle. But, well, I can forget about Michelle if I'm with her. I mean, she's pretty. Anyway, after work, which is prolly 7 PM, I went to Gary's office. He was on his computer. I knocked the door before going.

"Come in Caleb" He says.

I slowly walked in and sat in front his desk.

"So, what can I do for you?" He asks, enthusiastically.

"Well, not that I really need to take it but when is my day off?" I ask.

"Oh, okay. How about on Thursday?" He asks.

"Uh, okay. Sure. Thank you Sir"

"No, problem" He replies.

Man, I need to tell Evelyn about this. I went back to motel room and took a shower. I realized that I've been here for three day. My payment will be expensive. I really need a place to stay soon. I walked towards the bar where she works and I got a strange feeling. I don't know what it was. I just ignored that feeling and continued to walk inside the building. I went to the bar and Evelyn smiled when she saw me.

"Hey. So, another JD?" She asks.

"Sure" I reply with no hesitations.

She poured me a drink as I sit on the stool in front of her. I look around and the place is not that crowded, only four guys playing billiards. I faced Evelyn again and she was on her phone.
